The Cottage in the Wood is set in a beautiful location with great views and easy access to walking trails. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, though not luxurious. While the food is delicious, including a superb lunch with light subtle flavours, some staff members can be unaccommodating and less friendly. Breakfast options may not please everyone, particularly the streaky bacon. Despite the steep road making it less walkable, the restaurant is worth a visit for its excellent food and scenic surroundings.
