The Town Hall Tea Rooms

I have visited many times for both main meals, cakes and just coffee and it is always really good. The food always tastes great and the prices are very reasonable. Not over priced like most places are these days. The owners are also very friendly and will stay open late if you haven’t quite finished!

China Chef

Visited on the 15/08/24. The food quality at China Chef is superb, especially the curry sauce which is only surpassed by the friendliness of the owners. Overall, as good now as it was 12 years ago when I lived locally (Lyneham). Thanks China Chef, keep up the great food and impeccable service, you’re a credit to RWB.

The Winterbourne

Beautifully cooked steaks, delicious burgers and pork belly as well as delicious desserts. Really friendly attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us. (including the free shots they brought us after the desserts) would highly recommend this place to others, has a lovely garden area and small kids park too.

The little Gem

It already has the perfect name and all my review can confirm is that it is a little Gem! It may not be easy to find but true gems never are. So do yourself a favour by discovering and enjoying this place for what it is.
Also a huge thank you to the staff and hosts for making us feel welcome and the opportunity to escape for a while.

The Five Bells

A proper pub - as the bar mats & receipt say.
Well it is, a nice pint and the burger was delightful. If I lived in Wotton Bassett this would be my local by choice. Barman attentive & polite.
Locals seem friendly enough too.

Il Camino Italian Restaurant

Highly recommended.
Great Italian style menu just like a family restaurant.
Super service from a menu knowledgeable waiter.
Lovely food, we had six different dishes and all were good, clean plates all round.

The Sally Pussey's Inn

Oh my gosh … service amazing , ordered drinks they appeared at my table almost instantly , I ordered food and it was there within 5mins a lot quicker than the local maccies … food quality was amazing , Gordon Ramsey quality food in minutes is absolutely astonishing!!!

The Royal Wootton Bassett

Best food we had in UK for a while. We stopped here for dinner, sat in the beer garden as it was sunny, and did not expect it to be so heavenly good. Service was great and prompt, menu different and varied and everything we tried was yummy. It’s the kind of food that makes life feel better.

Jubilee Lake Tea Room

This was our first visit with our grandson. The food was good, honest cooking at a great price. The kitchen was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly. Our first visit certainly won’t be our last! Thank you.

Ganges

This is Very Good

I had an overnight stay in a local hotel and just fancied an Indian, so went here, and I am glad I did.

Service (all staff) wonderfully friendly with the Shammi kebab huge and really tasty. The lamb vindaloo was also spot-on as well as the keema rice.

Next time I am in the area, guess where I will be going.?????

Schoolhouse Restaurant & Hotel

The hotel was suggested to us as an alternative on booking.com. Our originally planned hotel was canceled at short notice due to damage.
The hotel seemed clean. The service is particularly noteworthy. The owner is very friendly, polite and accommodating to the guests.
Why do I only give the room 4 out of 5 stars? This was because our bed in the room was too small for us. That's the only thing I wasn't good at. The breakfast is variable and you can choose whether it is vegetarian or not. The prices for food and drinks are clearly stated and visible. We'll be back.

The Angel Hotel

Angel Hotel was absolutely wonderful. We stayed here as we had a funeral to attend, the rooms were good, a little on the small side, but it was just for sleeping though, bed was comfortable and the location was right in the centre of town with the high street outside. There is no parking at this hotel though, but plenty round the back at Sainsbury's ( paid parking ) or 2 hours free on the high street between 8am and 6pm. The staff really go out of their way for you, very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing too, nice selection and freshly prepared in the morning for your enjoyment. The pub was inviting and drinks were very reasonably priced. We had a great stay and amazing service from all the staff at The Angel, massive thank you from us all.

Safety: Very safe around the area and it's great walking around the area and the alley ways around the wonderful little shops.

Walkability: Easy to walk around and explore the town.

Oriental Aroma

We ate in the restaurant and the food was fresh and piping hot, the all you can eat menu was delicious. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, service was quick. Amazing meal thank you!

Lovely place to get your foods but will advice to order online before going to the shop for collection as making order over the counter will make you spend more time standing there because they have no seat for customer but they are customer friendlyParking: Parking space for general public so you not guaranteed of a space,restrictions in parking by law

New Gourmet Oriental

Food was brilliant, ho fan and duck pancakes were especially good. Would highly recommend. Delivery was ahead of the time given, so another bonus, and driver was lovely.

Lees Fish & Chips

Very nice chips, plenty of salt and vinegar. Battered was a bit overdone on the sausage but the first time I went it was perfect. Definitely go back

Kid-friendliness: Don't see why it wouldn't be "kid friendly"

Chillies Indian Cuisine

Had a lovely evening, excellent service, very personal and efficient.Went for a set menu for 2, shared with my husband and it was delightful.Very impressed with the succulent meats and amazing flavours. Definitely recommend.

Churchill - Pub & Grill

Had a mediocre fish and chips . A chicken curry with rice and chips. That consists of a chicken burger chopped up with curry sauce pored over. It was an OK meal, but you could have done better at home .
