Restaurants in Malmesbury

The Horse & Groom, Charlton
The Street, Charlton, MalmesburyFive stars or 10 is really too little for such an enchanting location and simply extraordinary staff!
Our experience was unforgettable, immersed in the heart of the suggestive Cotswolds, with easy access to the main tourist attractions.
Both breakfast and dinner were impeccable, and every moment was enriched by the warm, friendly and professional welcome of Kes and her team. Attentive and thoughtful in every detail, they made us feel at home.
The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the environment is wonderful. For my birthday they also gave me a truly special surprise, making my stay a memory that I will always carry with me. We can't wait to return!
Thanks for everything.

Radnor Arms - CORSTON
Main Rd, Corston, MalmesburyMet halfway between my brother & his wife for lunch today.
Have to say, probably the best Sunday lunch I've ever had in a pub. I make great gravy but have never managed a gravy like theirs ... absolutely delicious!! Apparently, it is cooked over a 2-day period & was just so tasty! Meal was terrific with a good selection of vegetables ... just cooked to perfection.
Can't recommend The Radnor enough! Unfortunately, it's a fair track from our home but any opportunity to visit again & we will jump at it!
Sadly we were so busy catching up we didn't think to take photos.

Istanbul Grill | Malmesbury
49 High St, MalmesburyWe thought we'd give the place a try as it's quite new. We had chicken donnar kebab and chips. I had a "small" portion but it was still very large and I couldn't finish it. I had the rest of it the following day.

The Rose and Crown, Lea
The St, Lea, MalmesburyWe stumbled across this place by chance, when struggling to find anywhere to fit 8 of us in for lunch at the last minute. Although they were very busy, they managed to accommodate us on their last tables, and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. The staff were so friendly, helpful and good with the 4 children in the party. Had a mixture of Sunday lunches, burgers, pasta, fish and chips and all were substantial and tasty. Also indulged in some starters, desserts, pints and coffees.

The Potting Shed Pub
The St, Crudwell, MalmesburyJust great!!
Having visited three times now I can safely say that The Potting Shed never disappoints. Especially during this latest visit which was a welcome end to a horrific day on the the roads around Devises, a blow out and torrential rain and floods.
Thank you Potting Shed for taking such good care of us and Belle the Irish Setter.

The selection of pizzas is huge and they never disappoint. The decor is just lovely and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. We actually just got engaged here so I'm sure we will be back again and again. The pulled pork starter is our fav to share ???

The focus on customer experience and attention to detail was noticed and appreciated; Ricki Weston is most definitely a man to watch! Superb.

Echo Food
72 High St, MalmesburyLeanne and her team catered for a lunch party for my parents’ 80th birthday. Absolutely fantastic on every level. Leanne suggested a great menu which sounded perfect and was completely delicious in execution. Boeuf Bourgignon was rich and tender, a vegetarian lasagne was one of the tastiest lasagnes I’ve ever eaten (meat or veggie) with potatoes and a couple of gorgeous salad side dishes, plus amazing puddings (sticky toffee date cake and a lemon torte) . The team were lovely. Incredibly professional and really helped the event run smoothly for us. Had loads of positive comments from all the guests. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Malmesbury Rendezvous
34 High St, MalmesburyPossibly the best Chinese I’ve eaten as a vegetarian. They have such a good selection of meat substitutes - meat free duck and meat free chicken along with other options. The salt and chilli mushrooms were possibly my favourite. For a Chinese takeaway the prices are really reasonable!

The Summer Cafe
4 High St, MalmesburyPopped into Summer Cafe for a coffee with my husband on our first visit to Malmesbury and to the cafe. We went to the counter believing that we should order from there and were told very politely that it’s was table service and that once inside the eating area we would be shown to a table, which indeed we were. On our way through I spotted a four layer Victoria Sponge which I knew would please my husband. After sitting and looking at the menu I decided to have the New Yorker on toasted sourdough. So we ordered a slice of Victoria sponge, the New Yorker toastie a cappuccino and an oat milk latte. Despite it being fairly busy our order arrrived pretty quickly. With everything being as delicious as hoped. The coffee for me was extremely good and so I had to order another one. We fully intend to return to the cafe for lunch before the end of our week long stay. This place is definitely worth a visit.
