Gurkha Baynjan Restaurant
New Rd, CalneI’ve been here 3 times since moving locally, and this place has quickly become not only my favourite curry locally but my favourite ever, either takeaway or eat-in.
Food is absolutely delicious (momos for starter every time). Add to that that the staff are all freindly and the prices are below average, there really is nothing to dislike.

3 Beach Ter, CalneFayes has been my go to for 6 years now as the food has always been amazing and it’s hard not to follow the motto on the wall with staying safe by eating more cake when the cakes are that good! 35 New Rd, Church St, CalneA very nice family run cafe & restaurant. We went on the Friday for their pizza & wine night. The food was delicious, we have also stopped off for a coffee & cake here. Well worth a visit if your in the area. Friday is the only day it opens in the evening, so you must book a table.
Weds to Sat it's open in the morning for breakfast/brunch cakes & coffee.

5 William St, CalneWe’ve found this place a couple of months ago and love it. Slightly cheaper than Melksham. We have fish, chips and battered sausages, all excellent quality, flavour and come with great service. Highly recommend.

I always have fish and chips, sometimes mushy pes, sometimes just fish without batter, (ordered at least 15 minutes before.) The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. If having chips I always have to say 'not so many, please!' sometimes I say 'can you give them another minute, please?' Very generous. Always lovely fish. I can't speak for anything else as I only go there for the fish, but always hot and freshly cooked and everyone is welcomed. so nice to have this in our town" Gwyneth

The Black Horse at Cherhill
Main Rd, Cherhill, CalneBest Sunday roast in the calne area so far! Other pub chefs in the area should go and see how it should be done. Very busy pub which caused a few problems for the staff seving but food was hot well cooked and well presented. We will be back for another Sunday roast and we will also try a meal on a work day. If you are in the area you should go here for a meal you will not be disappointed.

9 Quemerford, CalneGreat pub to go to and have a drink with mates or to go and relax. The bar staff are lovely, always a nice evening when I've gone.Outdoor area with benches for the summer with some lovely tee's for shade and a small outdoor drinking area under shelter.Has great entertainment and the Talbot Fest every year which is worth a visit. For the live music and great drinks.Parking: Parking is around the back, normally plenty of space but it's not far from street parking either.Kid-friendliness: Happy for kids to be there, plenty of space for children.

Happy workers with a cheery greeting to all customers, even the more ‘difficult’ customers. Nothing is too much to make people welcomes and to give them the best they can. The food was incredible (the chicken tikka garlic and chilli was probably the best curry I have ever had), the team were very attentive but not at all overbearing and the restaurant was so clean and comfortable. 3 Curzon St, CalneNot bad for a local boozer. Has a few big screens for live sports. Fair sized garden with benches and outdoor stage. Glasses are clean. Toilets are reasonable but as to be expected for a cheaper pub. Dogs welcome. Outdoor stage. Notice board kept up to date with local events and services. Good amount of seating and table surfaces. Staff are super friendly. Clientele is a mixed bunch but friendly nonetheless. Pool table and games machine. Central location to shops and other pubs and restaurants. Live music advertised. Do not believe that there is parking on site.

Beversbrook Ln, CalneThe mango smoothie is so good genuinely. If I was only allowed to have 1 drink for the rest of my life it would be the tesco cafe mango smoothie. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm, and customer service is amazing. The food is excellent quality and not expensive at all. Amazing (especially the mango smoothie ❤️❤️)

Not a fan of pizza as too much dry crust & never enough topping.Thought id got lucky 1st time as it was to the edge toppings & plenty of them but second time the same.
