Established in 1307. It's like taking a stope back in time eating here.
The food was exceptional ?
The service was brilliant, they have lovely friendly staff.
Beautiful location next to the river.
Would highly recommend if you want lovely food in a lovely place.
Parking: Two areas for parking.
One at the front of the pub and another over the bridge opposite the church.

Temujin Restaurant and Takeaway
The Moorings, 1 Canal Basin, Sowerby BridgeVisited for the first time a couple of weeks ago as part of a group of around 12 people. Had the endless stir-fry and despite the fact that you choose the ingredients and quantities from the choices on offer yourself before giving these to the staff to prepare for you, the food is very nice.
The wait staff were very attentive and always on hand for any drinks etc... required.
The atmosphere is a little strange as it feels a bit more like a canteen than a restaurant.
Not the cheapest of places but certainly wouldn't put me off visiting again.

15 High St, Luddenden, HalifaxNo food but the beer was excellent , locals very friendly, really made to feel welcome, when ordering ask the landlord if the beer thief is in tonight, there will laughter thru out , wish I lived local ? ?Parking: Street parking so might have to park little further away from front door , no double yellows .Also road is narrow and steep in places.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat into pub , but road is at an angle and can be steep.

57 Wharf St, Sowerby BridgeCame here tonight and had a lovely curry. The flavours were amazing and I really enjoyed it! The only letdown of the evening was like what many have said, we felt very rushed. Me and my friends are quite slow eaters and we were taking our time to enjoy it, and we felt like we were being watched quite a lot. I’d understand if the restaurant was incredibly busy but it wasn’t so I didn’t see the need for this. That being said, we all really enjoyed our food and overall this was a very positive experience.

Kiplings Indian Restaurant
28 Town Hall St, Sowerby BridgeWe recently ordered takeout from Kipling Indian Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. We got the Paneer Karahi, Dal, and Paneer Tikka, and were thoroughly impressed with both the quality and quantity of the food. The portions were generous, perfect for sharing or having leftovers.
The flavors, though, were what truly stood out. The Paneer Karahi had a rich and flavorful gravy with tender paneer pieces, the Dal was perfectly spiced and comforting, and the Paneer Tikka had a lovely smoky char. Each dish was delicious, and we truly enjoyed every bite.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic, tasty Indian food!

Good selection of dishes, some that you don't see at similar takeaways.
The service is efficient, if not the most friendly and I do find it a little rude that the person taking my order has headphones in while doing so. Always makes you wonder if they have heard the order correctly and if you ask them to repeat you get an audible sigh first.
The wait isn't usually long and we always collect meaning the food is always hot.
This was possibly the 6th or 7th time we had ordered there and had found the standard of food quite high. They put pineapple in a lot of dishes which we aren't used to (OK sauce for one), possibly making some of the dishes sweeter than we are used to.
On this occasion, it was a bit of a letdown we said we were due a poor quality takeaway as the last few had been really good. We had Sesame chicken with chicken that was not quite hot and the sauce congealed probably as a result. The noodles were very oily and the chips tasted reheated, seems possibly they part cook and warm up to serve.
The portion sizes are usually quite large (we usually share a noodle box and a dish with some rice and chips and theres usually leftovers) but on this occasion we were a little disappointed particularly with how little meat was in the noodles as this is usually not an issue.
We will go back, even this is still an improvement over some of the local takeaways serving Chinese food and I'd proven particularly well in terms of hygiene and not worrying about food not causing upset stomachs later.
Also, a little bit more customer service goes a long way, they have a food offer if you spend a certain amount. I was 25 pence short of this amount and hadn't realised and if someone had gone to the effort of pointing this out, I'd have happily spent another couple of quid to get my free item.

20A Town Hall St, Sowerby BridgeGreat place to eat and drink , from start to finish I loved it , i had the sautes which I had the pan-fried chicken and lamb mixed it was gorgeous,the flavours in the sauses was amazing, my friend had fajitas and they tasted amazing too only the down side to it I could only eat half ,to me the portion sizes could feed two lol , lovely food great services, I'm definitely going again very soon.
