A really nice pub with a great lively environment. There is a lot of space and they have live music making it a fun environment. Drinks are all reasonably priced and there is a good selection.
The Chemic has long been one of my favourite pubs. It's small, intimate, the epitome of an English 'local'. The cask beer is always excellently kept and there is always a local craft beer on keg for hopheads. Having moved away from the area 10 years ago, I am no longer as regular a customer as I once was, but I found the place unscathed by a change of management and as cosy and welcoming as ever. I remember this Pub when l lived in Woodhouse, and on a Bank Holiday they had a games for the adults. One of them was as Yard of Ale. Not many could drink it all, but my Honarary Uncle did. Was fun and happy times. Not been in in a while but I do remember the staff where verh friendly and part of the community.
