The original craft beer bar in Leeds! It's been a very long time since I was in North Bar, the area has changed quite a bit over the years and North Bar has evolved from its Belgian Beer Café origins into an all round top quality location for craft beers, with a few Belgians still hanging around. Friday night and the place was pleasantly full with a slightly older crowd of folk enjoying the beers. The best thing about the place is that it is a good place to talk - you aren't yelling at each other over the music. The beers are really good there is a huge range of interesting stuff and plenty to keep serious beer lovers happy but without being boring or intimidating. A vast array of great beers, and a knowledgeable lady about them!
Serving beers produced by Verdant, I was tempted but at over £10 a pint I decided on the North brewery's own Transmission and a great choice it was!!
