Off Smithies Ln, Heckmondwike, MirfieldHad a family meal for 15 for my Mum's 80th everyone was impressed with the food great selection of meats and veg. The service was fantastic and there was a really relaxed atmosphere we spent over 2 and half hours there and the staff were attentive and professional.Highly recommend this restaurant for family get together great value for money

54 Market Pl, HeckmondwikeThe cafe in itself is clean, presentable and the atmosphere is friendly. The staff are polite and it features quick service. Unfortunately over the past couple weeks the portion sizes have changed, likely due to the cost of living; understandably but the large breakfast can only be described as a regular now.

1 New N Rd, HeckmondwikeThis is a very old coach house, a fabulous building. I had a pint of dark mild it was around £2.50 maybe less. It is a tech free pub so you need to speak to each other they also don't allow bad language. Altogether a nice evening

192 Leeds Rd, HeckmondwikeMet a friend on her birthday to drop off a cheeky card & a bottle of wine. The place was packed, always a good sign. I only stayed for an hour or so and didn't eat although the food looked good. As it was a birthday celebration, a few drinks were consumed within the group which led to one of the party to secretly projectile vomit in a corner. Attempting to go to the toilet, unfortunately projectile vomiting again, just a split second after my celebrating friend asked me to swap places. This led to the spray of over consumed vodka to miss me by a whisker! Hitting my wonderful seat swapping chum instead! It's the most luck I've had in decades! The staff were quick to respond when made aware and cleared up sharpish. I was driving and wasn't drinking, so the over-consumption Gods must have been looking down on me that evening! I bought a lottery ticket the next night, my luck didn't continue.

55 Market St, HeckmondwikeDiscovered this place while browsing for fried chicken. It's nice. Cheap but not dirty cheap to give you problems. Shop looks like it's been around for a long time. No seating, just walk in, order and take away. Box meals are very filling and don't cost arm and a leg like most other places.

I would give it the last star if the online menu had slightly better customisation add/remove/swap ingredients functionality. What I will say is - whenever I ring with a query or call in to collect the staff are always very friendly and accommodating.

42 Oldfield Ln, HeckmondwikeUpdate may 2023New menuVery very busy much more than before.The food is still amazing.Great service.Can't fault anything.Totally recommend this place.---Twice I have been here February & march 2023.Both times the curry and 3 chapati with it was very nice, very filling, very fresh.That have a simple long table you can eat in.The service was good. Simple people who are very very busy with do many justeat deliveries ( normal over UK).Their medium size is good size portion work adequate salad.They take credit card.Pleasant place to eatin is solo on the single simple table.But society today most eat at home so that's normal.I recommend their chicken masala that comes with 3 large roti.

35 Westgate, HeckmondwikeWe ordered a couple of pizzas after waiting two hours for our local pizza shop to deliver, Pizza Hut Heckmondwike arrived within 40 minutes.The Pizza was hot and fresh and well presented, the sides were good too.The delivery driver was friendly and polite and even brought us a free tub of Ben and jerrys ice cream as he’d forgotten to give us our cookie dough.I won’t bother wasting my time with other pizza shops in future!Thanks

Customer service is really good, food very nice! Just don't out as much salt in and would be nearly perfect.

1-3 Cemetery Rd, HeckmondwikeThe best curry (Madras) I've had on my visits to Yorkshire for ages, the rice was excellent too, they got mixed up with some of the order though, I ordered one chapati and one kheema nan, but ended up with 2 chapatis, but the meal was that good, I have to forgive them, will definitely be calling again on my next visit.

I have ordered here many times and it's alway the same quality and have never got the order wrong.I have tried many others in the area but this is by far the best and will only order from here now.The staff are friendly on the phone and the delivery drives are really polite.I would definitely recommend trying these guys.
