76 High St, SteyningExcellent lunch meal with very friendly service. My wife said her pizza was the best she'd ever had! Slightly let down by one dessert not being made in-house, but overall a great experience. We'll definitely be back.

Crispy roast potatoes with fluffy insides, home made Yorkshire's , quality meat and a nice range of perfectly cooked vegetables and a big jug of gravy. Roast dinner like it should be. Lovely friendly staff and great service.

The Star Inn
130 High St, SteyningCalled in for a pint , it was fairly busy.Enjoyed the peace of sitting in the garden. When it turned a bit chilly outside I went indoors , the fire had been lit. All very pleasant and reasonably priced. Will call in again.

20 Church St, SteyningSo glad to find that good old fashioned decent bread is still made, two shops in steyning keep this alive and kicking, great bread, I would rather go there than convenient rubbish bread you get anywhere else. Well done whoever is getting up early to make this great bread, thank you, all power to your elbow!

It has more than a hint of French influence in decor and menu options plus the waitress was keen to adapt plates to suit needs. All cooked full of flavour and nice portions. Good standard lunchtime menu plus a chalkboard full of specials give great choice. Evening we enjoyed three courses of great food in French style. Even speaking in French! Will keep going back.

High St, Upper Beeding, SteyningFound this place whilst waiting for a bus back to Shoreham. Nicest Subway I have ever visited. Good welcome, spotless premises. I had my favourite meatball sub and a very decent cappuccino. The sub was hot and flavourful. It was so nice to discover this branch as I often go for walks in the countryside but do get hungry, and whilst a pub lunch is very nice when you have the time, this really hits the spot. The gentleman serving was friendly and kind: don’t think I have ever been asked previously in a fast food place whether I enjoyed my food and was there anything else. Will visit again soon and recommend to other walkers.

The Castle Inn Hotel
The St, SteyningWe loved our stay at the Castle Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was very clean and well appointed plus the bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere and nice food. Breakfast room was lovely too and a delicious English breakfast to be had. We also loved the free car parking!

Ashurst, SteyningWe received a warm and friendly greeting from the lovely staff. Our delicious Sunday Roast arrived in good time. Beautifully presented, well cooked meats and tasty seasoned vegetables. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

And wow guys your doing great in every way. The shop looks lovely and the wonderful aroma you get walking through the door.
A good menu of options to choose from, but not over doing it with option after option. Cleverly thought out and delivered.
I only went for a veg pizza, as I never really know what to get when on the spot, staff great and patient with me. And appreciated, thank you. 12" @ £11.00. Some may say I'd that value. Well, guys, hats off to you again, fresh,hot, tasty. And definitely enough for one. I actually couldn't wait to tuck in that I left all my stuff in the car when I got home, "
so I could get indoors and stuff my face. "
Thank you for a great takeaway in a rural area. Can't wait to try more from that great menu.

Chequer Inn
41 High St, SteyningHave been a few times also to gig there, we were there a couple of weeks ago, and thanks to the chequers for paying for bands! , they want to become known as a music venue, so folks come along and support the them! It's a great night out, the back room is nice and big for both band and a few punters, and dancing! Nice staff, great location, even parking outside! Come on down!

The White Horse Smokehouse & Grill
23 High St, SteyningWe stumbled across this lovely pub whilst driving home after a day at the beach. We were lucky enough to be eating outside thanks to gorgeous weather. Between the four of us, we had roast dinner, Fish And Chips, burger and chips and the nourishment ball. All were delicious and the prices were reasonable.
The only disappointment was the poor selection of alcohol-free beer.
Vegetarian options: The nourishment bowl is excellent.
Kid-friendliness: There is a childs’ menu.
