The Cricketers
Duncton High St, Duncton, PetworthThank you to Ruth and all the staff at The Cricketers. My family hired the lovely function room, to have my mum's Memorial get together today. My family and I had a lovely afternoon, even though the weather could of been better. Your garden was so peaceful, and we all went out and looked at your chicken/hen coup. The food and service was great. The whole experience was just perfect. We are grateful.
Kind regards,
The Shine family. ❤❤❤

Tiffins of Petworth
1 Leppards, High St, PetworthGemma and her team from Tiffins of Petworth provided the catering for my mum's 8oth birthday party in our garden.
I could not be happier with the service they provided.
The food was superb, delicious and beautifully presented, they were relaxed, friendly and well organised and the whole service was reasonably priced.
They went to so much effort to make everything as easy and stress free for us and really were a highlight of the day.
They exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend them.
The Cafe is also lovely and has the same level of care, service and delicious food.
A real asset to Petworth.

Horse Guards Inn
Upperton Rd, PetworthFantastic food and beer. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a while! Yorkshire puds with rosemary top were delicious. If it was closer I'd be a regular. The garden is a magical space too. The only downside was being told that a £2.50 per head 'Cakeage' fee would be applied if we wanted to bring a cake to celebrate the 3 birthdays that warranted our visit to the pub in the 1st place. Never heard of a cakage fee so we ate cake in the church grounds opposite.

The Black Horse Inn
A283, Byworth, PetworthI actually always stop at this somewhat hidden inn when there is a break on the Dorking - Petworth - Arundel antiques route. The green garden terrace is the perfect spot, especially in summer, to relax with cool drinks or a delicious lunch ('King prawn and scallop tagliatelle' & 'Lemon posset'!) and the crew is really friendly anyway. I haven't stayed there yet, but I hear only the best from other travelers. There are also plenty of parking spaces next to the building! Cheers! ↗️

Meghdoots Mystique Masala
East St, PetworthIn 40 plus years of eating in Curry Houses I finally found the One. I cannot find a single area to fault. Service, welcome, atmosphere and food all amazing. We had the good fortune to have the legend that is Milli to Chef for us. She is the nicest chef ever. Well done all. Make this your go to curry restaurant. It's also run by Indians too.

E.Street Bar & Grill
New St, PetworthAnthony and Phillip are the most accommodating persons I've ever met. I would return just on their service alone with care for our dog and baby. Food is also perfect but you don't get to see the cook.
Booked my next visit already! I will stress they are just as amazing when busy and I would suggest more staff support for them. Only a friendly suggestion xx

Petworth House Audit Room café
Church St, PetworthNice place for a cuppa and chat with family/friends. Gluten free cakes available and decaff coffee and soya milk. Such a grand room to have a cafe.Only tip would be to get a large size drink as the regular size cup is not that big. Think it was only 35p extra to go large. You can also go here without being NT member. Will definitely return again.

The Hungry Guest Cafe
Newlands House Gallery, Pound St, PetworthWe always stop here for a couple of sandwiches and a drink after a long walk at Petworth Park. Staff are welcoming and always friendly, lovely cosy atmosphere. The Croque Monsieur is our favourite bite, oozing with melty cheese and thick cut ham - delish!

The Star
Market Square, PetworthVisited here for the first time. Although we visit Petworth frequently. A great place to visit. The pub is under new management and the staff are making every effort to create a friendly and welcoming environment for diners. The ambience is very good. It looks and feels like a well run pub. We had a roast beef Sunday Lunch and rhubarb crumble. The latter was excellent. The roast beef and vegetables were very good. The Yorkshire pudding was deflated and roast potatoes were slightly undercooked and firm. I had a good pint of golden ale. There was a log-burner and the pub was dog-friendly with water bowls and dog treats. We will definitely go back. Inflated yorkshires and softer roast potatoes and it would have been perfect.
Parking: Public paid parking nearby. Very convenient
