Hassocks Fish and Chips
25 Keymer Rd, HassocksOne of the best fish and chip shops around. Chips are crispy and everything is popping hot. I've tried others locally but won't consider anywhere else.
Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a severe soya allergy and they were pleased to help. Only local chippy to offer sausages without soya.

Old London Rd, Sayers Common, HassocksOur family celebrated a wedding here recently and we were very impressed. The room was warm and comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff could not have been more helpful. The food was great. The owners have rescued this establishment and we wish them every success in the future. They deserve it . We would like to thank them for helping our granddaughter to have the wedding she wanted and making it memorable.”.

The Glass House Restaurant
Wickwoods, Shaves Wood Ln, Albourne, HassocksVery good. Beautiful place to eat. The afternoon tea was lovely and had far to much to eat and needed a 'doggybag'.However on a Sunday roast was a bit disappointed as was asked how we liked the beef and we said rare, it came out well done. Bit pointless asking.Would still recommend though.

Chinese Gardens
103 High St, Hurstpierpoint, HassocksOrdered tonight and the wait was 45 mins , we live 20 mins away , food arrived exactly 45 mins after ordering , piping hot and absolutely delicious, best Chinese I've ever had , so for that I thank you , will use you again and again

Only point against is that the prices are pretty high compared to other high street kebab places in the area so be warned!

1 Avis Rd, NewhavenNew to the area and used Chens Garden delivery service for the first time a few weeks ago. The food arrived really quickly was hot and absolutely delicious. We ended up having another takeaway from them again this weekend and was not disappointed. One again food arrived rapidly it was again absolutely delicious. We are really pleased to have discovered this gem of a restaurant and will definitely be out go to takeaway and will be sure to dine it at some point in the future.

Allwoods, London Rd, HassocksGreat little cafe serving simple, tasty food. The garden centre is good too with some unusual plants with knowledgeable staff. This is a small, independent garden centre and cafe which is a refreshing change from the big chains.

11A Kensington Gardens, Brighton and Hove, BrightonHonestly, this is one of the very best if not the best Chinese food restaurants in Brighton and one of the best restaurants full stop. Don’t be put off by the backlit menus on the wall. Super fresh cooking from the kitchen, home made sauces including one of the best chilli oil sauces which is the chef’s own recipe. Super fresh vegetables. Incredible spices. Oh and fabulously cheap - just great. Please do go - lovely place.
Vegetarian options: Very flexible kitchen - team happy to make veg options, add tofu and so on.
