23 Church Rd, Burgess HillI recently visited the Block and Gasket in Burgess Hill for breakfast, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The pub has just undergone a refurbishment, and the new look is absolutely stunning. The space feels fresh and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern touches and classic pub charm. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into the redesign, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.
The real star of the show, though, is the breakfast. For just £6, you get an incredibly generous Full English that hits all the right notes. The bacon is crispy, the sausages are flavorful, and the eggs are cooked to perfection. Every element is prepared with care, and the quality is outstanding, especially at such a fantastic price. The portion size is just right to start your day on a high note.
The staff were also friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in Burgess Hill, the Block and Gasket should be your go-to spot for a delicious, affordable breakfast in a beautifully refurbished setting. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

The food was ready in I think under 10min. Everything was v fresh and nicely served, also the portion was big. I'm 6'2 and I like to eat but this was a decent size meal. I very much liked the staff. Very friendly guys who seem to enjoy what they do. I'll be definitely coming back whenever I'm in town again. Thank you!

6-8 Mill Rd, Burgess HillGot in early (6pm) and was empty. It was full within half an hour. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. Couple of poppadoms with plenty of sides, Started with a very tasty if predictable (on my part) lamb samosa. Excellent start, then I’m normally a vindaloo/dhansak kinda bloke but went a bit different and had murgh garlic chilli on the waiter’s recommendation, It was fantastic, and plenty of it. Nice bottle of kingfisher and a reasonable bill. Left very content.
