Chester Rd, Churton, ChesterWe love Kala Bistro and this has been on my wishlist for a visit and it didn't disappoint the food was absolutely amazing we had:-
Smoked mackerel pâté pickles, sourdough toast
Creamy garlic field mushrooms on sourdough toast with a poached egg
Chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie creamed potatoes, confit leek, pickled shallots
Smoked fish pie long stem broccoli, triple cooked chips, parsley sauce
Warm lemon and syrup pudding vanilla ice cream, double cream
Coconut & vanilla rice pudding rum-poached pineapple, toasted coconut and lime
We will definitely be coming back ??

4 Castle St, RuthinFantastic stay at Ruthin castle. We arrive to a complimentary upgrade to the prince of wales suite which was fantastic! We had a £60 voucher for dining which we had chicken skewers, tempura prawns, beef and fish & chip - all were beautiful. We then had a lovely experience in the woodland hot tubs and breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back for the medieval nights!

Hen Lon Parcwr, RuthinBoth feeling under the weather so thought we would pick up Sunday lunch as a takeaway. Just wow! So tasty....meat delicious and all the trimmings spot on especially the cauliflower cheese. Yummy and great value!

56 Well St, RuthinAbsolutely amazing food, the service is a bit tricky as the owner doesn't speak great English and no Welsh however totally worth the hassle all food is cooked fresh to order and tastes beautifull I live above it and can't stop eating there food, seriously can't fault itWe also have a healthy Chinese population locally so I think it boosts the foods cultural values hence the greqt tast!

The Castle Hotel - JD Wetherspoon
St Peter's Square, RuthinI didn't stay in a hotel room as we just went in for a breakfast.
Ruthin must be the most inaccessible place we (as powered wheelchair users) have ever visited. We were just about to give up on finding somewhere to eat, this Wetherspoons being the last and having large steps up into it and with no sign of any alternative entrance, when I thought we would be cheeky and have a look around the rear, which didn't look to be for the public. Sure enough they do have a very decent ramped entrance and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our cooked breakfasts were very good at a good price. The accessible toilet was good too, probably above average.
There are some really history filled dining rooms with fire place and oak panelling which are very nice.
In short, don't give up on Ruthin, there's always a good 'Spoons to visit.

Glan Llyn Inn
Clawdd-newydd, RuthinHad a mixed meat Sunday lunch here today, beautiful food. I don't usually like red cabbage on a meal, but this was gorgeous, made with balsamic vinegar and some kind of marmalade, could have eaten a bowl of it, was very moorish :) Overall, one of the best Sunday dinners we have ever eaten out, so well done, will definitely be eating here again, plus a warm and friendly welcome, 10/10 :)

Pool table and dart board.Went in one evening for a meal amd became a regular after moving to the village. Tourists made to feel welcome too.Kid-friendliness: Kids made to feel welcome. The Leyland Arms
Llanelidan, RuthinDidn't get food but stopped off for a quick drink. The area surrounding Leyland Arms is absolutely stunning. Truly a hidden gem.
As soon as we entered through the classic old style front door we were greeted with a smile. Good selection of drinks, cold and fresh. Amazing building and architecture, I wanted to explore the whole thing!
Definitely a place to check out in Wales. It's very out of the way but worth it!

Cilcain, MoldThe pub is decorated in a beautiful way for Christmas, very cosy and inviting, with an open fire in the small bar and a stove in the larger dining area. We were a large party there in the afternoon for a Christmas meal. The staff were very attentive and worked hard to ensure that all our meals came out on time, piping hot. I had the twice-baked goat’s cheese soufflé with a pickled walnuts and apple salad, absolutely scrumptious, followed by a generous roast turkey dinner with creamy mash and herby roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, sprouts, stuffing and gravy, all very tasty and cooked perfectly, couldn’t manage it all. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the lovely setting and ambience.

In addition to cosy indoor seating, there's a garden seating area, and also offer takeaway. On the gift shop side of things, they have a large range of cards, and stock goods from local artists. Definitely worth a visit.
