Caffi JoJo
The Old Village Hall, LlanbrynmairJust googling to see if they're open...on way to a regular breakfast treat. Easy parking. Great local shop for essentials on way into the caffi...well laid out unpretentious tables and a large menu to choose from. Food usually arrives without a long wait, and we have yet to find any fault with it. Been breakfasting here for years now...delighted that they are still dishing up tasty food at a very reasonable cost. Good coffee too :-)

The Unicorn Hotel
4-5 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesSpent two nights in room 7 which was like a small apartment! Lovely fresh decor with quirky furniture and artworks arround the walls. Lovely clean bathroom with a powerful shower and nice towels. Tea making equip and posh biscuits provided and a small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge for a perfect cup of tea (or coffee, choclate etc). Nice street view from the lounge area and the bedroom, big telly in the lounge, comfy bed, books to read, etc. Had a really nice evening meal (Thai Curry) and two lovely cooked breakfasts. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful, even offered to let me park my motor bike in their yard. Price very reasonable for the quality of everything. In short very highly recommended and I am quite fussy !

Chartists 1770
Trewythen Hotel, Great Oak St, LlanidloesThis is a lovely spot for lunch, located in the town centre it has a small but convenient car park ideal if you are driving. The lunch menu had a good selection and my dish recommendations would be the welsh rarebit which was on homemade bread and absolutely delicious! The wild mushrooms on toasted sourdough again were very tasty. I also noticed they had homemade cakes, sadly I was too full from lunch to get one but I will be back for another visit to try more of the menu options! Staff were friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. If you are in the area and looking for a nice place to eat lunch I highly recommend, it’s a great place to stop.

Andy's Bread
Unit 6a, Parc Derwen Fawr, LlanidloesWe were lucky enough to book with Andy to provide pizza doughs for hand made pizza and croissants / viennoiseries for different parts of our wedding weekend at Plas Dinam. Both pizza dough and the pastries were incredible - the pizzas were very very special and tasty, and having the pastries for our wedding morning was exceptional - us and our guests loved them. Cannot recommend Andy enough and thank you again !!! Maria and Matt

Llanidloes Kebab & Pizza House
6 Great Oak St, LlanidloesA decent kebab shop in a small town. It was tasty and salad was fresh but giving it 4 stars due to portion size. Ordered a large doner kebab but it looked small to me. Maybe i am just comparing it to the city.

Travellers Rest Restaurant
9 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesLovely little restaurant in Llanidloes. Booked for Sunday lunch. Both had roast lamb, it was all perfectly cooked and deliciously tasty. We both chose spotted dick with custard for dessert and that too was delicious. The service was spot on and food was piping hot as was our latte coffees too. Very nice restaurant, highly recommend.

Tybrith
Carno, CaerswsStayed in the area for 4 days. As we arrived we had a lovely welcome. Nice draft beer drinks and food was very reasonably priced. We even sat out the back in the enclosed beer garden where our dog ran of the lead until he tired himself out. If your looking for simple pub grub then I would highly recommend. Oh and it was nice and clean..

The Whistling Badger
4 Short Bridge St, LlanidloesNice local and very friendly pub with both chilled out top bar, where they have occasional live acts and a lower bar, with pool table, darts and large screen TV for sports events.
Whilst the pub doesn’t directly offer food, it has a Fried Chicken takeaway operating from the kitchens. You order via their website and thankfully they do deliver to the bar without any charge ?. A nice addition when you don’t fancy walking to the nearest takeaway or restaurant.

New Welcome Takeaway
44 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesHad delicious food from here last night. The portions were generous, especially the sesame prawn toast and mini vegetable spring rolls. As good as any Chinese food I have had before. Everything was piping hot and tasted wonderful.
Cannot understand the negative reviews. Will definitely order food from here again.
Just have to add that we ordered prawn crackers, we couldn’t eat them all so put yo one side. Usually when left overnight they go soggy and hard, but they were still crisp and tasty the whole of the day after.
