The Banc

We came to the banc on Saturday evening for a special family birthday. We were seated in a private dining area to our surprise and as a quite large group were very happy with this. We had pre ordered our food but the staff were so attentive with checking for drinks and to see if everything was ok. The food was second to none it was amazing the best steak my father in law had ever eaten. Succulent burgers, tasty risottos and pastas and the kids menu is proper home cooked food. I could not recommend this place more. If we are ever in Knighton again this will be our first place to eat.

Little Black Sheep Cafe

Stopped here for a quick lunch. First good sign was it was nearly full. Had a mix of food from omelette to toasties to bacon!and sausage bap. All were food and the omelette excellent. I spent my time also looking at the crumble choice. Ended having a gooseberry crumble with custard that was excellent. Bitter,sweet and creamy together. Shocked at the bill. Given what we had eaten I would have expected significantly more. Alongside the good food at a great price the staff were friendly and brought a feeling of joy to the whole place. Everyone was treated warmly as they came in and throughout the food.
In a world of hundreds of verities of coffee,posh pastries this place does a great range of simple food well and at a great price.
Big downside was we did not go back as I wanted to try more crumbles.

Tower House Gallery

Popped in for a pot of tea after a busy few hours. Absolutely lovely. Kind welcome, peaceful atmosphere, total absence of pressure, delicious spearmint tea. Just what the doctor ordered! Didn't have food but the menu looked well thought out and good value. I'm not in Knighton often, but I won't forget this place. Thank you.

Horse & Jockey

Had a meal here last night. Had chicken , bacon and mushroom pie. Absolutely delicious could taste the butter in the pastry & plenty of filling. highly recommended

The Greyhound Inn

Great company, real ales and a roaring fire greeted us together with friendly service. It is a local ale house for us and it does have a fair amount of entertainment throughout the year. Live music usually has free admission and there is always an open-mic on the first Saturday of the month. A fine public house, friendly people and great company.

A great stay at The Red Lion...The room was very comfortable, good bedding and toiletries provided. Very clean. A very welcome by the host too..and a tasty breakfast. Can recommend asa place to stay :)

The Sitwell Arms

Great meal this evening with friends. Fish and chips, huge portion and beautiful cod. Homemade spicy and flavoursome chicken madras with rice, popadum and naan and lightly battered halloumi, salad and chilli dip. Very well looked after. Thank you Rob, Kerry and Jamie.... We'll be back

The Garden House B&B

What a quaint little B&B which has just 2 rooms, so you won't be bothered by any unruly guests! It's in a beautiful location in the picturesque village of Knighton. The landlady is such a lovely person. Very helpful and accommodating. Locals are very friendly. It has everything you need for a short break if you want something off the beaten track. There is space to park your car and it'll be safe behind locked gates as the whole property is very secluded.The room I stayed in had an ensuite shower and a TV (both are the same). Towels were provided. There is a guests' dining area which includes a kettle, toaster & fridge where you can help yourself to breakfast. Choose from the usual suspects: juice, tea, coffee, cereal, fruit and toast etc. The dining room also has a little lounge area (settee & tv) to relax in the evenings which is nice if you fancy a quiet night in!The b&b is home to 4 little munchkins (dogs) so you may hear the odd bark but they didn't disturb me at all and as an avid dog lover, for me it was a bonus!One other thing as the B&B is adults only, it's great for a romantic weekend away!I'd thoroughly recommend it especially if you love rural Wales and walking as it sits right on a national trust trail which follows the complete border between England and Wales. Absolutely stunning!

Restaurant decor bland (bare walls), service not that good (but a party of 12 in, so maybe this is the reason).... food very good! King Prawn exotic was lovely.. bring your own alcohol

Bamboo Garden

Recently moved to the area.I had Chinese from here a few weeks ago. I heard mixed reviews about the place. I phoned my order and was told it would be ready to collect in 20mins. I ordered the special chow main, sweet and sour chicken, spicy shedded beef, peeking sauce spare ribs and chicken fried rice. Over all the food was hot and tasty. Not the best Chinese in the world but would definitely order again.

Chandos Kebab & Burger House

A unreal shish kebab we had a excellent garlic pizza with extra garlic mayo on it and coleslaw it’s a really good place highly recommend please can we have tables in the shop
