Very friendly staff who give a personal touch, always chatty when I visit, kebab was alright nothing great otherwise I'd give them 5 stars, try the wings!! If you like spice you won't be disappointed

39 Bedwlwyn Rd, Ystrad Mynach, HengoedBy far the best Fish and Chip shop in the valley, in my opinion much better than the local ‘award winners’ food is always fresh and piping hot and of the best quality. Service may be a little slow at busy times but the freshness certainly makes up for it!

The Cross Inn, Gelligaer, HengoedMy first evening meal at the pub since Pat and Bryn took over and it didn't disappoint!! Service was great, food was quick, hot and beautiful.... I will definitely be returning. Well done all !!!

Gelligaer Fish Bar
3 St Cattwg's Ave, Gelligaer, HengoedI have to share the experience I had when visting Gelligaer Fish Bar, firstly it was a very nice and welcoming atmosphere in the shop the staff were all well mannered and polite. They were happy to assist me in asking about portion and cod sizes etc. Lets get to the food, all I can say is the batter for the fish was crispy and it was the best fish I have ever tried. The chips were nice and tasted fresh not dried up like other fish and chip shops and don't get me started about the battered sausage it was amazing!!
My experience was 10/10 and if you want good food then give this place a try! :)

65 Main Rd, Maesycwmmer, HengoedVery Tasty hot and fresh food, non greasy was surprised at the pancake roll, bag completely dry, no grease and really nice! excellent service from the staff, our shop is next door they are good as gold, one of the best Chinese around.

43 Bedwlwyn Rd, Ystrad Mynach, HengoedVery accommodating. We got there late afternoon, kitchen had just closed, but landlady made us some delicious small plates at a very reasonable price. Drinks were fine, a good selection too. Couldn't ask for more.
