This place is amazing. Such an unusual opportunity to stay in fantastic hotel accommodation in a quirky setting with scenic walks at every turn. Staying in the village means that as the sun goes down and the day trippers leave it becomes a peaceful haven to enjoy. You do need to be physically able to really enjoy the grounds, but the village itself is an enchanting place to be. There is buggy transport between the hotel and the castle for those that need it. The setting was lovely and relaxing in the conservatory area, the staff were friendly and attentive. We had Welsh beef rump it was excellent , it melted In Your mouth, we were to full for pudding . We booked in advance, for a two course meal with this you get free entry to portmerion ( £17 per adult ) it was definitely worth it .

Good selection of high quality meals and drinks, and attentive, friendly staff. Classy decor which blends modern clean lines whilst being sympathetic to the ancient feel of the castle. A very pleasant way to spend the evening. The dessert was absolutely incredible!
