Restaurants in Fishguard

Red Onion Garden Café
glasfryn, Cefn Rd, FishguardSpotted this gem on the off chance today and can't recommend highly enough. My husband had the veggie breakfast, and I had tea and apple cake. All of it was delicious and a cut above the usual, much of it being homemade or locally produced. The warm ambiance of the place needs praising too. Such a lovely feel! Special shout-out to the delightful lady who served us, the one originally from Ireland. We'll definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: My husband had veggie sausage with his breakfast, but there were plenty of options for lunch too.

The Gate Inn
Chapel Rd, FishguardWe visited here a few weeks ago for food when we were on an overnight stay close by. Really good home cooked fayre that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Freshly cooked and quality products. Very reasonably priced too. Paula and Llyr are lovely hosts and we had a fun night with them and some locals at the bar post dinner. JT Abergwaun Hotel
Market Square, Market square, FishguardWe recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Christmas dinner at JTs. We have visited several times before so we knew the food was going to be good. From start to finish, the afternoon was filled with warmth, excellent food, and a sense of genuine care that made it truly special. The food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was delicious, The chef’s dedication was evident in every bite. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring every guest felt well taken care of. I was especially impressed by the chefs, who, despite the chaos of the Xmas day rush, still managed to take the time to provide a meal for my little boy who lives on chicken nuggets and chips. It’s a testament to the team’s commitment to creating a memorable experience for everyone, no matter their age. Overall, the Christmas dinner was a perfect blend of lovely food, a great atmosphere, and excellent service. The chefs and staff worked tirelessly to make sure that every guest had an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend and we will return next year.

The Globe
28 Main St, FishguardMight seem a little local at first, but that's kinda what it is. Take a breath and then everyone was lovely on the night I was in.
The landlady is great, a source of things to do locally or just a good chit chat about the world.
A terribly nice, cosy local pub with historic interest.
If ur visiting and after old school, pop through that door for a chat and a welcome

Coach House
10 High St, FishguardI popped in for a quick half over a game of pool on a wet afternoon. Was a great, friendly atmosphere, lovely original decor, a seat by the fire. What more could you want? ♡ Decent beer, too! Landlord friendly and happy to chat.Vegetarian options: They do offer vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: If you have a chat before ordering, I'm sure the landlords will be able to accommodate most needs.Parking: There is no parking outside the pub as it's on the one-way system, but free parking for 90 minutes on the co-op car park just round the corner or paid parking in the car park across the road at the back of the hotel.Kid-friendliness: Children welcome with an adultWheelchair accessibility: It's one of the few flat access pubs so brilliant for wheel chair access

Gwaun Valley Brewery
Kilkiffeth Farm, Pontfaen, FishguardIt's absolutely brilliant. This is a true hidden gem.
My elderly uncle loved it. It's been on his wish list for a while now, so today, we popped in to sample some of brews and left with a few bottles. The bar area has a couple of comfy sofas, tables, and a cosy log burner to enjoy the samples. The brewer was busy when we arrived but made time to chat about the brewery and what was currently on offer. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the beer.
It was well worth the visit.

Cat Rock Cafe
Golf Course Road, NewportThe view of the beach ⛱️ was stunning.
Breakfast delicious and staff helpful and genuinely friendly. Kay was very helpful. The lad serving was very pleasant, too.
Parking: Once down by the beach, which is a very short drive further along, you had to pay for parking £1.50 per hour. I would advise taking cash as you can't use a card. The only other option is to download the app on a phone.

Fishguard Kebab House
85 West St, FishguardI came in here with my family and we ordered for four people. Noorullah took our different orders very well giving us no rush. The doner kebabs (both chick and lamb) were great and so were the sheesh kebab.
We ordered fries with doners but they forgot to add them and we couldnt come back until late at night for another order. We let Noorullah know just in jest and he made us fresh fries without a dime. Overall, great place for halal food

The Gourmet Pig
32 West St, FishguardCame in here during a windy day as we were desperate to find somewhere to eat. Though not my initial choice, the Halloumi Bagel was delicious, especially the sauce. Very cute overlooking the street, however they do have more seating round the back. Great atmosphere with the music and lovely selection of products to buy from in the deli section.
