The Hobby Horse

8 of us visited the hobby horse last night. We had a lovely welcome in a warm environment. All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had beautiful meals and every meal was hot to eat. I would highly recommend this friendly pub. Looking forward to going back soon.

Bridgend Inn

Came yesterday for my 30th with 12 people. Food was great and the service was lovely. Great atmosphere and staff couldn’t do enough to help you. Will definitely be coming back x

Nans Cafe

£8 for this breakfast! It does come with other things black pudding and mushrooms etc but as I don’t like them I was allowed to swap and have extra sausage bacon etc

Amazing food, very tasty, very clean place to eat, really nice staff, very very happy with this breakfast and will deffo go back there when I’m next in Blaina, gave the plate back white which the staff member laughed and said that’s a compliment in itself. great and fantastic breakkie just what me and my colleagues needed on a Friday morning.

Shane's Fish Bar.

Shane's Chippy is the best around, by far, sounds like an old cliche but I say it with conviction, The warmers are always fully stocked up with a variety of sides, chips are absolutely amazing with a very generous portion! The prices are incredibly low and the staff are just so absolutely friendly with nothing being an effort, go there once and you'll never go anywhere again! A chippy with the rarity of having a passion for what they do!

Cinnamon Garden

Ordered a take away this evening. Arrived within the time stated. Food was delivered hot,plenty of it,and very tasty.Enjoyed so much,I telephoned to complement the chef.Highly reccomend.

Greggs

Always busy here, as with most Greggs sites. The ladies are mostly happy to help and polite. You get what you pay for, inexpensive food and drinks at a reasonable standard. The cleanliness was to a good standard, infact a member of staff was wiping down tables whilst I was there. 5 stars for my last visit, picking up a flat white, before a haircut.

Visited Deanos a number of times over the last couple of weeks... Great covid measures in place felt very safe on entry, during the service and exit.... well done to you all at such difficult times.... use and stay local to support small businesses xxx

Sundo

Had chinese from here for the first time, and they smashed it out of the park. Food was delivered on time with a polite lady, everything was boiling hot and the taste on everything was phenomenal ? it's a 10 out of 10 for us this will definitely be our go too,from now on amazing thank you ?

The Picture House - JD Wetherspoon

Meal with my dad and my dad had the “sticky Korean fried chicken bowl” and he said “that is the best meal he’s ever had in a Wetherspoons pub! Top marks to the chef and lady behind the bar (Samantha) who was very kind and really helpful for the visit!

The White Lion

Lovely pub ... customers are outstanding very friendly and welcoming ... the land lady will show you to your table and buy you jagers... the juke box is dodgy my only complaint x

Greggs

Great range of fresh sandwiches and baguettes. Along with the freshly baked pasties /sausage rolls etcThe staff here are what gives this place that extra special touch , always service with a smile ? A* Definitely recommend

We tried several other local Chinese take away whilst peking town was shut for holidays. Not one matched the quality, service and flavour of peking. Would not order a Chinese from anywhere else’s

Victoria Park Brewers Fayre

I am a regular visitor at Victoria Park, The breakfast is amazing always fresh and lots of choice but the service is outstanding! I always seem to bump into Jackie and Mandy and have gotten to know them during my visits. Always very Friendly, Polite and great with the children. These pair really are an asset to the business and breakfast would not be the same without them. Thank you for providing such a great service!

Cafe Lazeez

The mixed shawarma with naan and fries was so good, I had it 2 nights in a row. The homemade sauces take it to another level. The staff are super friendly and put every effort into ensuring you have the best dining experience. Will definitely eat here again if I'm back in the areaDietary restrictions: Everything is suitable for a Halal diet

Car park was spacious and very clean Seating area was clean and has good lighting Toilets small but clean Food was delicious served and recieved my food within 5 minutes of ordering

Flames Kebab

Excellent meal, Very filling. The staff are extremely helpful, it would be a pleasure to get food from Flames Kebab, next time i'm in town.My meal consisted of a Chicken Wrap, Chips and a Can of Pop. Thanks.Parking: Parked in the small car park near the petrol station, short walk away from the shop.

Kim's Kitchen

WOW! I've had many takeaways in my time ? but I had one delivered yesterday from "Kim's kitchen .I must say !! this was the best I've ever had ?Honestly it was amazing . Was still hot when arrived & portions were very generous . Regarding the prices ,that was great to .5⭐'s to this business .I will defo recommend ,and will always be ordering from Kim's kitchen .Thankyou so much ??

Domino's Pizza - Ebbw Vale

Went way out of their way to help! My daughter was on a school trip with 27 other girls. Coach broke down 8 miles away on a mountain road - with no address. Will and team sent pizzas for them based on verbal directions. Team were excellent in a moment of stress. Thank you.

Kung Fu Takeaway

Just had special fried rice and chicken balls with bbq sauce tray and a sausage and chips. Portions was massive and was amazing definitely will be ordering again

KFC Ebbw Vale - Waun y Pond Road

Had a delivery made from here on app.
Food came was packaged to the 9s nobody was getting into that bag without it being showed that it's been opened. (Had food missing from bags before from mc'ds,can clearly see it's been opened before I received it)

Food was perfect, love the new flavour seasoning on the chips best chips I've had.
Chicken burger was done perfectly even a nice soft bun.
Popcorn chicken was practically overflowing from the box.
Chicken pieces where spot on melted in the mouth.

But who ever made that gravy in the store needs a raise, had gravy from other stores before and it seems thick but this one was perfectly done.
Id order that gravy for my Sunday dinner if I could.

Top 5 stars.
Was sceptical as the reviews seem bad but was presently surprised . Will Def order again and leave another review to see if anything changes

McDonald's

Gotta say probably the best McDonald's I've been too. A big competition ended around the corner from this place so as you can imagine loads of people came here, me being one of them. The order came out really quickly, the food not only tasted great but looked great for a change from McDonald's. You know they're not going to be but the onions looked freshly picked and they didn't just give you a few. It was late and half the restaurant was shut off however seeing us all coming in they didn't put up a fuss and let us sit there anyway, chatting to us listening to what we've been doing.I'd give 5* but that's gotta be saved for those restaurants which just blow you awayParking: Parked in lidle or aldi right next to it but between the two businesses there's plenty of parking
