Lovely crispy chips, with plenty of salt and vinegar. Curry sauce, very tasty and nice and thick. Proper wooden cutlery too, not just a 2 pronged fork! Details matter. Very quick and courteous service. Will definitely be coming back when next visiting the area.

Rudry, CaerphillyI absolutely love this place. Been here many times and it's always been a positive experience. We visited today and had the new lamb shank shepherds pie, cumberland sausage and mash, fish and chips and gammon. Everybody enjoyed their meals. There is one lady who has been here many years and her customer service is second to none. Lovely ambience especially when they put the fires on in the winter. Parking is fine, plenty of spaces in the overflow carpark just up from the pub.

Great staff with a vibrant atmosphere inside, The store is clean and tidied regularly and always has products neatly organised. I have been using this store for a long time now and decided for the updated review to take the children along, Personal orders of choice are sausagerolls and cappuccino.
As mentioned, the staff are always friendly and welcoming to customers while remiaing polite and professional often provide good conversation and information relating to promotions. Rated Now 5* following a consistent 2 years of great customer service and a friendly atmosphere

I decided to give it a go, I think it's almost impossible to get fish and chips wrong.The place was nice, perfectly adequate, the service was quick enough and definitely friendly and the atmosphere was as a "chip shop" so a winner there too.If it was my place, I would do 3 things differently.I would check the oil quality and get something better. This is a shop selling deep fried food, the oil is one of the most important things in there, don't go cheap on your tools.The salt and vinegar wasn't great, as above, I'd go for the chip shop special vinegar and decent salt rather than table salt but to be fair, most people wouldn't know the difference.Potatoes are the last thing I'd change. There are only 2 potato varieties you can use for quality chips. They're expensive by comparison but everyone can taste the difference with those.In balance, I was expecting bad because the feedback I'd had but was impressed.Worth a try, not going to win any awards but perfectly adequate and friendly
