The Wheatsheaf, 46 Heath Rd, Upton, Cheshire, ChesterVisited the Wheatsheaf inn yesterday.
And the meal was fabulous. And yes, sizzling hot.
We have visited a few of these pubs over the past few months, and there appears to be a lot of variation in how the meals are cooked and presented. Some sizzle but a lot don't, and skin chips replaced with plain frozen chips
But I'm glad to say the meal we had yesterday was really nice.
It's just a shame that we don't live closer to this venue. But we will call again when in the area.
Would fully recommend the Wheatsheaf and its staff.
Parking: There is parking here owned by another company
Just ensure that you put your car registration on the IPad located on the right-hand side through the entrance door
But don't worry, the stuff is all over this issue, and you will get reminded as we did. Just be mindful of this issue

Towyn Rd, AbergeleMy partner does not eat mushrooms EVER, he ordered stake which comes with mushrooms he enjoyed it so much his plate was completely empty! My pork belly was lush too! Great food and good price, would definitely recommend

Towyn Rd, Towyn, AbergeleNice place and friendly staff. We ordered a small and medium breakfast, the medium was bigger than expected. Food was lovely, can't fault it. Really fast service, didn't have to wait long for food.I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Shell Service Station, Faenol Ave, AbergeleSubway @ pensarn carmarthen is the best subway I have eaten at. I work next to it at farmfoods and as a duty Manager my time is limited, I order via the app and everytime they have had my order correct and always ready and my selected time, the sandwiches are always freshly made and delicious.Thank you ?

I googled reviews before hand, ignored the 1 hygiene rating, and trusted them reviews. I’m glad we did.
Prices were reasonable. However they only had one portion of chicken balls left which I found odd, and we heard the microwave beep way too many times for my liking while waiting for our order.
The salt and pepper chicken portion was small, the chicken was a little chewy but tasted lovely. Chicken nuggets edible but again chewy.
Sweet and sour chicken was delicious.
Chips, boiled rice, fried rice, all lovely.
Curry sauce was tasty with a hint of coconut.
Plain chow mein was amazing, even my son who usually hates anything with veg in had some and came back for more.
Parking area right outside.
We would definitely return if in the area again.
Just bear in mind it’s cash only, a lot of takeaways are though, but not many of us still carry cash.

32 Market St, AbergeleWhat an absolute gem of a place! Great selection of beers on offer (some cider too) with something to suit most tastes. What we paid for a couple of glasses of Dolly was an absolute steal. The people behind the bar know their stuff and were very friendly. We'd chosen a great night to visit as the back yard was a great place to sit out and was very popular. If you enjoy good beer this place lives up to its name.

The Village, St George, AbergeleHad 3 veggie roasts and 1 beef. Every single one of us cleared our plates! Might be the best roast I’ve eaten you know!! Yorkshire pud, gravy and red cabbage was so so good !!

Little Indian Chef
