As strangers we were made to feel comfortable with staff and locals. Having searched for somewhere doing food this was an extremely nice pub with very nice food.

Mezze Me

Authentic Turkish Mezze. Excellent, but 4stars only because slightly more expensive than anticipated.Vegetarian options: I am vegan so choice more limited for me, obviously.

Our favourite Indian with, truly fresh home cooked Indian Food that is such a treat for a takeaway. Ali and his team are so friendly and always on time with no waiting time for called in takeaway orders for pickup. Highly

The Gaff abergavenny

Excellent food and service.I love the small plates concept - you get to try several shared dishes and all were delicious!Parking: Free parking just around the corner after 6pm, or paid parking just over the road (only about £1.20 I think)

Marmaris Kebab House

Decent freshly cooked food. Would have given 5 stars but with not being local and no signs up indicating 'Cash Only', I got a rather blunt response when producing a Mastercard and the guy walked off before I could ask where the nearest cash machine was, being left to stand there like a lemon ;-)

Bayleaf

Staff were lovely and very welcoming. The food we had to wait a little longer than we normally would but it absolutely worth the wait as the quality of what we ordered was superb. I would rather wait slightly longer to have the quality and taste of food that we received than rushed and be of poor flavour. The size of the meals were great, so we asked for the remainder of the meals to be packed up to take home which they did immediately for us. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend and we will be back soon. Was a lovely night out for 6 of us ?

Fig Tree Espresso

We always go by google reviews whilst looking for places in areas that we visit. Visited the fig tree based on reviews and were not disappointed. The coffee was fantastic and we were blown away by the cakes, so much so that we cant wait to go back and work our way through them. Lovely passionate owners. Lovely visit. 5/5.

La Mediterranea Food UK

No matter what Italian recipes you like, nothing better than it locally served by professional staff who want that experience to be truly Italian. Thankyou, pizza and fresh bread was delicious.

Mardy Traditional Fish And Chips

I went in for a lovely bit of tea and that is exactly what I got. The lady left to run things while her colleague was out on a delivery did very well keeping everything going. Recommended.

Cinnamon Tree

I have a life threatening nut allergy stopped eating Indian about 7 years ago after having a few reactions, really craving it tonight after all Christmas foods, so gave it a go, called and asked about nut policy and was reassured they used no nuts in the kitchen.. I am soooo happy I went for it and ordered, food was gorgeous! Gutted they forgot my opinion chutney but apart from that delighted

Great staff, delicious pizza and amazing cocktails. Will definitely return!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza base was made for me on request (New York style only I believe)

Costa Coffee

This costa has always been a prime visit when me and my friend go to abergavenny, alwyas excited for our salted caramel frappe with skimmed milk, extra caramel, the team at costa are always inviting and just make you feel welcome and happy to be there, it’s an amazing place to study/revise with the free wifi there so it’s aswelll an amazing stop for my and my friend to come revise A levels, probably has to be my favourite coffee shop anywhere in the world!!

The Oak Room

Firstly what lovely staff they're a credit to the hotel. My Mum is 86 & finds sometimes she's too low at the table. Before we said anything the man (restaurant manager/head waiter)asked if she would like a cushion so that was very kind. We both had the pork which was lovely, very tasty. I was a little disappointed in the flavour of the small trio of desserts, so I was glad I didn't have a normal portion of any of them. Very unusual for me to not finish a dessert but the mandarin & pistachio Eaton mess tasted like soap to me & my Mum tasted it & thought it wasn't nice too. Choc & cherry very rich & I love Frangipane tart but it was too rich with mincemeat so dessert was a let down but everything else was superb. I would recommend to others.

Casa Bianca

Called in on a whim for lunch as we were visiting the area and they had a table free. The place was busy but it wasn't loud. Staff were quick to serve and there was a huge choice on the menu.Food and drinks were brought out quickly and was delicious. Had a bit of a wait to get the bill, but understood as the 2 waiting staff were busy.Place is a little dated decor-wise, but other than that really glad we tried it.

Really nice Sunday dinner. Good service, good food. Had some horrendous experiences eating out lately and this has restored my faith in believing that restaurants can actually cook good food, and get it to the table, not forget the cutlery and it's actually hot! Thanks for a great meal in a great place. ?

The Foxhunter Bar

Visited The Fox Hunter with family who live locally, what a place! The atmosphere is lovely, very welcoming! We had a mixture of starters that we shared - all amazing BUT the whitebait is by far the best I have ever tasted (I’ve had a lot of whitebait in my 62 yrs)). Two of us had steaks for main, the others had curries. The steaks were absolutely delicious, they melted in the mouth. Again, as far as I’m concerned the very best I have ever had! 10/10!! The guys enjoyed their curries too! All in all I can 100% recommend this lovely pub! You will not be disappointed! Thanks guys - we will be back next time we are in the area!

We've been buying food here for over 15 years and it's always nice. Never had a bad one, and the guy behind the till always gave my daughter, Layla a free can of pop.Kid-friendliness: They were always so kind giving my daughter free cans of pop.

It was a very quiet night in there for saying it was Saturday evening, only us and 1 other table with guests on it, plus the staffs kids were in there trying to gain attention from our table. Killing the mood of our night sightly. The food was very nice however, May be better to be used as a takeaway.

Ordered a large takeaway meal, everything was really tasty and cooked really well! The chicken balls and chicken wings starter were both cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and just the right amount of batter. Best Chinese in town!

Ziggy's Coffee Shop

Service with a smile and the food was wonderful.The staff go out of their way to help you. It's lovely that dogs are welcome there too. We had a snack and a pot of tea. Prices are quite reasonable too. Would highly recommend. Very enjoyable afternoon

Oasis Snack Bar

Only ever had a black tea and either a kit kat or flapjack to go with it so can't really comment on the food but very pleasant staff. Great venue for bikers to meet up as there is plenty of parking space and toilets in the car park.

Lovely place for breakfast and lunch. Thr broccoli and Stilton soup and bread was fantastic. SO MANY vegetarian options. Really good value and just a great spot in abergavenny for a fuss free meal. Would definitely come

The Gaff Coffee Shop & Deli

Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of Abergavenny. The coffee was really good which I was pleasantly surprised by!Seating area is available downstairs as well as on the 1st floor and the toilet is on the 2nd. It’s been decorated very well and you can tell it was well thought out!Only thing I will say is there isn’t that much variety of food. They have a few cakes and sandwiches to choose from which they will warm up for you. It looks quite trendy so it would definitely benefit from some hot food.

Helen and I popped into The Codfather feeling cold,hungry and a bit like a cloudy February day as it was...We left here feeling well fed,warm and uplifted after great service, excellent Cod & chips,great music and a lovely chat to the Codfather himself ? Well worth a trip to Abergavenny just to call into this Gem of a chippy...now our 'go to' in Y Fenni ??⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
