Unit B, Silverlink Retail Park, WallsendWe visited the Silverlink branch today with a few of my son’s friends to celebrate his birthday.
Lucie recognised us from previous visits and was lovely as always. Definitely our favourite member of staff at that branch! But they’re all so lovely and welcoming.
She kindly took our order herself as I wasn’t keen to use the app that day.
We had the buffet which was delicious as always and was continually refreshed with more food so we always had a great choice of food to choose from.
Lucie took the cake we’d brought to sing happy birthday with and brought it out later with lit candles and sang happy birthday with us.
We had a wonderful visit and can’t wait to return. The atmosphere is always lovely and makes you want to return.
Vegetarian options: Being vegetarian myself, there’s plenty to choose from. We didn’t get it on this visit but their mac cheese is the best of anywhere you’ll try!
Buffet pizzas that are veggie friendly have Green serving utensils to make it easy to spot.
Kid-friendliness: The children are made to feel very welcome.

What a fantastic bit of luck been coming now every other week when i pass as its one of the best takeaway shops ive been to. Food is fantastic and the desserts are out of this world. Even tonight i popped in leaving work and thought i will detour (4 miles) and get a cheese burger and chips. Great value Fantastic Food and the lad with the blondish hair and beard (I can never remember your name if you see this) Full of help and recommendations and will bend over backwards to help. The kebabs with rice of amazing! Try it!

East Garden Chinese Takeaway
266 Station Rd, WallsendWas once the best Chinese. Their chicken chow mein and chicken curry was the best. Their munchbox was plenty for 2. They did go through a bad spot but closed or changed management (now called Wok Station) and have returned back to their original quality. Only downside is their salty chilli crispy chicken is not the same as before.

6 Coast Rd, WallsendHonestly, I'm a fat lad, I'm not a connoisseur but I'm a bloody good eater with plenty of experience in the realm of sandwich shops. You cannot beat Porky's: their freshly baked sweet treats are incredible and frankly, are too cheap for the exceptional quality they are. Every hot and/or cold sandwich or otherwise I have purchased and joyfully consumed has been an almost euphoric experience. Their sausage in particular, I cannot recommend highly enough. I am so enamoured with Porkys that I would never move away from the area. I'm yet to have a buffet supplied by Porkys but they look incredible value for money and knowing how good the quality of their other goods are, I have full faith in their ability to produce a spectacular spread. I've you've never tried, you're missing out. If you have and you're seeing this 10/10 review from a serial scranner, put your own review on and spread the word. Long live Porky's, for never a crumb is spared.

Middle Engine Ln, Wallsend, Tyne & WearIt is a franchise and the menu is the same at related pubs. On the plus the food is consistent and the quality was good. The staff also really friendly and the food despite saying 20 minutes wait on the app arrived in 5 minutes after ordering. Only moan was my food burger and all was covered in Chinese five spice. I can still taste it... Maybe just the burger and leave the chips plain to pull the strength of the flavor down a notch. I would go back.

27 Frank St, WallsendA regular and honest review. I am bigger fan of the pizza party, but over last 4-5 years the price has climbed from 3 10inch pizza at £12.99 to £20 but the 3 pizza is now 8inch plus 1 extra pizza. Mixed kebab is really tasty but half the time in a wrap it’s all fallen out.

The bad cat cafe
200 High St E, WallsendMy husband and I adopted our cat, Bella, from the Bad Cat Cafe and Rescue. She is a beautiful, healthy, happy girl full of personality, and the entire adoption process was wonderful. Bella had a rougher start to life, previously living in a crowded shelter, and at the Bad Cat Cafe & Rescue they realised quickly that Bella wasn’t the type to thrive in the cafe environment, so she was looked after elsewhere before she came home to us. The team at the Cafe worked with us to be able to visit Bella beforehand, in an accessible space for us. They made sure we were right for her too! They did a home visit to make sure that our space would be safe and secure for Bella, and have given us support and check in even after she came home. It’s so clear and so evident that the team care deeply for all of the cats in their care. I can’t thank them enough for all they do for all the cats who come through their doors, but especially for bringing Bella into our lives.

Reliable, reasonably priced, fast service, friendly staff and the food is always fresh, piping hot and exactly as ordered! I'd never go anywhere else - before moving back to the area, we used to drive from Whitley Bay to this takeaway any time we wanted Chinese food as no where else compares.
