The Five Swans - JD Wetherspoon is a busy town centre pub with a wide range of clientele. The service is good and efficient, with a great selection of ales and excellent value. The pub has recently been refurbished, offering a pleasant atmosphere. However, the coffee machines can be a problem, with not enough available and issues with them not working at certain times. The pub has three floors, including a small outside area, and serves normal Wetherspoons food. Be prepared for a hike to get to the top floor, but it's worth it for the large building, plenty of outdoor seating, and good choice of drinks.
