Had a lovely meal here tonight, took our one year old and we was worried he was being too loud, the owner told us not to worry and that they are a child friendly restaurant.. food was amazing ! Best lasagna I’ve ever had. Garlic mushrooms to start were lovely too and my husband had a prawn pasta dish which he loved.

This is a very good Gregg's. I've never been ain a bad one. Whenever I travel across the North East I've found that each Gregg's has something unique about it and also something in common. Of course there is the business identity & corporate branding. Something beyond that in terms of the standard of service. The staff are always engaging and pleasant they seem to love the work they do. Even when their eateries are going full tilt with a queue. They are happy. That is something precious in this greedy world where the workers are often treated badly.

1st time and lovely pizza. After a very long train journey I needed food on the way home. Drove into Birtley and noticed this place was open. Never been before but passed it plenty times. I asked the lass behind the counter what she'd recommend and she said the pizzas are good. I opted for a mushroom and sweetcorn pizza (I know!!) and chips. Tried to pay by card, but guy came and said its cash only. I had no coins so he said just pay the next day. Very trusting. Pizza was great too, really good, and yes I did go back and pay. Next time I'll be more adventurous but definitely will be back.

Getting drinks from this Costa is like a lucky dip, either it’s nice or not. I have however noticed that when I am served by a lovely lady called Maria who tends to do the night shift… the drinks are incredible. We need more Maria’s working at Costa because the drinks she makes are just to die for. Thank you Maria x

My wife and I went there with our newborn and a man jumped the queue and the two ladies asked him to wait for his turn because we were here first. Very rude person but the staff handled it very professionally and respectfully. Thank you so much for the friendly environment and the subs were quick, warm and tasty. Thank you again

Manager served us and was exceptionally professional. Polite, helpful, considerate. Food was good. Note the services overpass is closed so you need to park in the northbound carpark to get to Burger King.
