52 Croydon Rd, CaterhamI've been going here for over 30 years, but it was great to be back as I have not been in a while as I am no longer local. It's been refurbished and is looking good. The food was very similar to how I remembered it, if not better. Very good Thai food, especially the red curry. The service was a little slow but always with a friendly face. Would definitely go back. Fair prices too.

We had 2 children with us the staff member Glyn who looked after us could not do enough . Warm friendly prompt service lovely atmosphere and very nice hot warm food. Excellent presentation will definitely be back . Also nice to see a pub kept clean and tidy and staff that actually do care in this day and age .

75 High St, CaterhamSince 2006 when we moved to Woldingham my family have always used charcoal grill, it is still the best tasting kebab in the whole of Surrey in my opinion. I now live in Eastbourne but everytime I am up in caterham I make sure to get a kebab. I’m ordering one tonight and thought it’s finally time to leave them a review after throughly enjoying their food since I was 6 years old.

181 Coulsdon Rd, CaterhamNice and clean fish and chips not overly oily and they don’t over pre-cook so you may have to wait for your food here sometime but at least it’s very fresh. Really good portion sizes not to little but not to much that you end up wasting food won’t be going anywhere else now I have found this fish and chips. Also gets very busy which is a great sign food hygiene 5 as well

The food is fantastic. Really fantastic. Delicate flavours, wonderfully varied menu, superbly cooked and very high quality ingredients. We’ve eaten here a lot and never had a bad meal. To be honest, I can’t recommend any one dish as everything is delicious.
The service is excellent as well. The owner really trains the staff properly and as a result they are perfectly attentive yet respectful, friendly and professional.
Why this restaurant is not sold out night after night is beyond me, but I suspect it is probably because of the preposterously obstructive roadworks outside which have been going on for many months.
Bit of local knowledge …. Just park in Waitrose, right around the back. But for goodness sake make sure you eat in this wonderful establishment.

The staff were so friendly and let us decorate the room however we wanted. We had 50 people all together and such a great space for it. Caterham Chinese Restaurant
375 Croydon Rd, CaterhamA lovely family run business. There are not many Chinese Restaurants around these days and the ones you come across have such mixed reviews you just don't want to chance it. So it's really nice to be able to venture out and eat at this restaurant that offers good honest food and a homely dining experience.
The restaurant inside has a lovely decor, a harmonious balance of a traditional Chinese restaurant and a light & clean modern eatery, whilst outside they have maintain what seems like the original shop front that honours the family business.
It was our first time eating here and for a weekday night, it was nice to see several groups of locals out dining with friends versus just grabbing a takeaway in front of the TV, there was even a group of 8 people celebrating a birthday. Makes you feel like you have stumbled upon a local gem!
There was a little wait for the food to come but the staff did acknowledge this and we felt valued, and good food does take time to cook.
The wonton soup was lovely, good sized wontons and cooked just right. The sweet and sour chicken was good too, big sized chicken pieces with nice rich sauce not watery like most other places these days. Portions and pricing were spot on in my opinion and even cheaper than some takeaways.
We were too busy tucking in, that we totally forgot to take photos of the dishes! We will next time.
Yun the owner took the time to come over ask how our evening was, and it's clear to us that her husband really do take care and pride in everything they do.
If you're not in the area, take a little drive and eat in, there's free parking on the road, or order and collect. I'm sure you will enjoy.
