The Reading Room Coffee and Cake House
Brockham Grn, Brockham, BetchworthAmazing stop for cycling with great food and a handy side passage to store bikes. I find the nice real chocolate sprinkles on the cappuccino to be amazing. Staff super friendly and range of savoury items, especially the toasted sandwiches to be excellent.

Arkle Manor
Reigate Rd, BetchworthThe food was absolutely delicious, I had the Chipotle British Half Rotisserie Chicken and the flavours worked so well, the chicken was succulent and the whole meal was cooked to perfection. Followed by the brownie for dessert which hit the sweet spot :) I would highly recommend a visit.

The Red Lion & Cellar Room
Old Rd, BetchworthA really special stay.We were greeted by the manager. Who showed us to our accommodation. We stayed in the barn and it was modern, clean, warm and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities along with towels and a little mint chocolate on the bed.We ate at the pub which had great food choice. I had sticky beef salad. For kids: Great food choice for simple kids favorites. The lady even gave my daughter a Princess pack of colouring books, dot-to-dot at the dinner table to keep her entertained. A really lovely touch. The pub was a proper pub and so felt cozy, friendly and had a typical English pub ambiance. The location was quiet. There were plenty of car parking spaces and nice walks over the back fields.Dog friendly: they are super dog friendly here. With bowls laid out and biscuits for your dog. ?We didn't stay long enough to explore the area properly as we were taking part in a race at Gatton Park.

The Royal Oak Brockham
The Royal Oak, Brockham Grn, Brockham, BetchworthLovely food and reasonably priced. The barmaid Alex was very friendly and when she heard that it was our anniversary she brought out a slice of homemade cheesecake and put a heart in the sauce which was a lovely touch. We will definitely go there again

Dolphin
The St, BetchworthA really excellent country pub! Picked it as it was a Youngs pub and on a walk route and I so glad I did. The food was delicious, contemporary pub grub and really high quality. As a vegetarian I was heartened to find a choice of tempting options. The atmosphere was lovely - relaxed and kid/dog friendly whilst still feeling special for a birthday celebration. Service was fast and knowledgeable and the selection of beers satisfied even my Camra-member father. Thoroughly recommended.

The Pheasant at Buckland
Reigate Rd, BetchworthBest Sunday lunch ever! But hugely crowded, (even outdoor space under cover-pouring rain) frantic, hot atmosphere different (friendly)servers each time, drinks order forgotten so aperatif didn't arrive until halfway through main course. Expensive.
Parking: Even though a large overflow carpark, it was absolutely full and you have to walk up steepish slope to get to the pub - not so good for elderly /infirm .
