Henny Rd, Great Henny, SudburyMy first paddleboard weekend away this year, stayed next door at the campsite, I was concerned about being rather scruffy and a little muddy. I was made to feel very welcome and seated in the beautiful restaurant, despite my attire the service was amazing…. I was helped with regard to my allergies, they are very keyed up on this, which is refreshing! I went for a sirloin steak with a side of onion rings, well it was cooked spot on to my liking and the onion rings are to die for!! Thankyou for making me feel so welcome and an amazing meal.

40 North St, SudburyLovely spot for lunch, coffee and pastries. The shop is vegan. I am not vegan or vegetarian but the healthy lunches are delicious, particularly the almond ricotta.
Also recommend the homemade kombucha.
The menu is small but always delicious and nutritious.We have eaten here a few times now and loved it every time.
The place is dog friendly, and has good music and atmosphere.
They also make great sour dough bread to takeaway.

Melford Valley Indian Cuisine, Hall St, Long Melford, SudburyRobbie and team always offer lovely tasting food, Sunday buffet gives us a chance to try food we haven't tried before and there were some new and very tasty additions to the buffet!! Recommend giving them a try if you haven't yet.

9 Tye Green, Glemsford, SudburyWorking on a local farm. Stopped here half an hour before closing. The Cod and chips I ordered were lovely and hot. Good portion size . Well cooked and good quality cod and chips. Staff were friendly and chatty. Definitely recommend. I will call again if working in the area as so nice.

10, Old Market Place, SudburyI was very impressed with my visit to the very first TOAST coffee house in #Braintree, part of the award winning (Essex Business Awards 2024 finalists in two categories) local chain springing up across Mid Essex. A friendly establishment with a warm #Essex welcome, unique surroundings and lots of happy chatter. I enjoyed it so much I dropped in two days running! Loved the coffee, loved the cake (lemon drizzle) but forgot to order toast - there's always next time... Thank-you to the TOAST team and to my long time friend Keith for introducing me.

92 North Street, SudburyTrainee Barista on his own with a queue. He coped really well. I said why are you a trainee? He managed very well. Obviously because he was on his own tables weren't being cleared. Coffee was good, large Americano with extra shot.
Generally the place is starting to need refreshing. Shabby furniture etc.

7 King St, SudburyHad a lovely meal last night at the Gainsborough Pub last night. I had the Mixed Grill, my daughter had the steak. All cooked to perfection. All the food was hot and came to the table quickly. Thoroughly recommend eating here.

Also large garden with seating (but lacking atmosphere and a trek across carpark to access). Easy walk across footpaths from Lavenham: nice place to take a break.

Visited the village to go to the Guildhall and stopped in while walking on High St. We didn’t expect to find such an incredible ice cream shop! ‘Delicious’ doesn’t adequately describe this ice cream. Got the salted caramel, which was thick, velvety, rich, and had a wonderful flavor. Very affordable too. Will be back for sure!

1 & 2 Church St, Clare, SudburyDue to our schedules, we dine out often. This is one of the best restaurants in Suffolk, and most likely Essex too. The care that goes into these meals, the quality of ingredients, presentation and flavor is exceptional. At risk of giving up our secret dinner spot… I hope Honey Hill stays busy and open for a very long time. They deserve the recognition for the quality they provide.

Westgate St, Long Melford, SudburyMy husband and I had a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome and our lovely waitress was very attentive. They even set up the table with birthday confetti which was a nice surprise. It was the perfect way to spend the evening.

I was on a bit of a Lovejoy filming location road trip ( I'm not into Lovejoy, by the way, I was nominated as designated driver)
Anyway stopped at the half moon for a bite to eat... proper home cooked food none of the namby pamby stuff you get in some of the so called boutique pub's proper good honest food ? and great service!
