Heath Rd, East Bergholt, ColchesterThis is a small village pub that oozes atmosphere it's a hit with the locals who make my husband and I feel welcome each time we have visited us. There is an open fire for the cosy feel in winter the old building fills you with a sense of history which makes me feel it has many stories to tell. Through another door is a room for the sports fans with TVs showing sports and a pool table for those who like a game. The staff were welcoming but not imposing leaving us free to enjoy our time there. We have decided to visit more often

Fountain House Tea Room
The St, East Bergholt, ColchesterThis eatery's such a pleasant place to have a complete meal or snack, even Tea & Cake.
The Jacket Potato with Coronation Chicken and salad, plus coleslaw is my favourite but they have a good range of dishes.
This is a must!
Parking: Use the parking behind the Red Lion. No time limit. Access is virtually opposite the Pharmacy.
Road parking is difficult.
Only 2 minutes walk
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for a wheelchair or a Walker.
