The Fleece Inn
Fleece Inn, St Mary's St, BungayWe visit regularly for drinks and occasionally for some food. We've never been let down. The service is excellent; it being efficient and friendly. The range of beers regularly changes with local breweries featuring heavily. The menu is amended frequently and the food served is of the highest quality and excellently presented. It's great to have such an excellent pub nearby.

Green Dragon
29 Broad St, BungayBeen coming here for a few years; well way over 20 anyway, so well overdue for a review. In that time the Dragon has never failed to impress in any way whatsoever. We come for the beer mostly, SIPA & Gold being the favourites but on occasions the excellent variety of great value food on offer also, during summers and winters by the fire. The Ploughman's I had today was as good as you can get anywhere, ever. Bungay and Suffolk in general needs to remain proud of this superb, friendly community local.

front room
28 Earsham St, BungayA small artisan bakery situated in the market town of bungay. Takeaway only, but there are a couple of tables and chairs outside. They serve artisan coffee as well, the coffee roaster at the time of writing was climpson and sons from north London. I had a large ring doughnut and flat white, both were very good. I will call there again.

Bugs Play Cafe
Flixton Rd, BungayI visited today and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the staff was so friendly. My 7 month old really enjoyed herself and an hour was gone in a blink of an eye. Was great to play both inside and out. Was nice to talk to other family and share story's. Lots to do and eat here and all good prices. Was clean and a lot of different toys available. We tried the cookies tho I didn't get much as my daughter loved it and all the other food and cakes looked great too. Did not need highchairs as many available and kiddy plates and cutlery etc are provided. Would highly recommend.
Parking: Space for about 20 cars
Kid-friendliness: Recommend 0-5 years of age
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, large doorways

St Peter's Hall
St Cross South Elmham, BungayWe got married at St. Peter’s in September, we are so in love with the place! It was the most beautiful, perfect venue. It has so much character and charm, the gorgeous building, the authentic doorways and windows, beautiful decor and outstanding views and scenery. The moat outside is so picturesque, we absolutely adore it. Our wedding here was all we could of ever dreamed of and more. St. Peter’s is a true hidden gem in the countryside and will have a place in our hearts forever❤️ We cannot thank or recommend Natalie and her team enough. Everything was completely personal for start to finish, the food was out of this world amazing, they all went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect in ever way. Thankyou so much, love Mr & Mrs Hutchins xx

Earsham Street Cafe
11-13 Earsham St, BungayGreat little find in the high street, has a really interesting menu, totally unexpected to the usual tea shop/cafe fare. Had the sharing platter which was delicious and I got two and a half generous cups of tea out of my pot which is generally unheard of! Great atmosphere, recommend booking as this is where all the local are. Staff very friendly and helpful and theres also an outside courtyard and loyalty card programme. What's not to love??

Spice Of Balti
42 St Mary's St, BungayWe visited here last evening for the first time to celebrate my birthday. It most certainly does not deserve the bad reviews it has. The food was piping hor and absolutely delicious... plenty of meat in each of the dishes and just the right amount of spice in each of the different dishes. Service was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We were the only ones eating in, but plenty of takeaways going out. Would highly recommend.

Mermaid Fish Bar
49 Earsham St, BungayOk, so after visiting PEX, I thought I’d support these guys as they do a good portion of chips here! I’ve been getting chips here for a few years.I think I took it for granted, but you have to try other places and so glad I did, because these guys do serve the best chip shop chip out of the two in Bungay, hands down!

Bungay Kebab
1AX, 22 St Mary's St, BungayAdventurous, memorable and breathtaking are the only words I can use to describe this experience. I LOVED IT. My family were starving after a long, treacherous swim in the river Waveney and Bungay kabab was the only place to go. My only complaint would be the queue for such delicacy’s but worth the wait. 100 % recommend
