Lovely, friendly staff and a fabulous roast beef Sunday lunch. The beef was cooked just they way I like it and my fiancé was very impressed too! Our 2 year old son even had to dig in.
I washed down my lunch with a pint of Pedigree and we left for a kick about on the football pitch in the beer garden.
Great place, and I'll be back with my mate on our motorbikes next time (bikers welcome).

Highly recommended on the edge of Tamworth towards Lichfield. ??

From the moment I walked in, everything from the service to the food was absolutely 10/10. The service, in particular, was some of the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant – attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on ensuring a great dining experience.
The restaurant itself was immaculate, with cleanliness clearly being a top priority. When it comes to value for money, the food was well worth every penny – delicious and generously portioned. A special mention to the manager who went above and beyond. Without me even mentioning it, they noticed my naan bread was slightly overcooked and promptly replaced it with a fresh one. That level of attention to detail is something you rarely see.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again.

Parking is a bit tricky, but we managed ok.
We went into the restaurant and were greeted by the staff, who asked us to sit in their waiting area. We paid and within a few mins they brought our food out.
It was hot, the portions were generous and it tasted good. We will use them again.

When I visited with my partner the other day, a young man and young lady were greeted by a challenging customer who was making staff aware of her allergy but in doing so, completely disregarding the Costa process that is mandatory as the staff explained. The lady some-how took this to some offence and declined help and said to leave it. I was the next customer and told the young girl on the till that she did a great job at remaining calm. Well done to both the young adults on shift, they responded very well to the abuse and challenging customer they were faced with. Coffee was good, customer service was good. Will be returning for any more late night trips when the others are shut.

The atmosphere is quite nice and quiet especially with 2 little ones we wanted somewhere more comfortable and it’s not crowded which is good. The staff are friendly and went above and beyond when my daughter accidentally spilled my coffee. They were very helpful specially when we needed to clean up the spilled drink. Also they offered and made me a fresh cup of coffee which was a very nice gesture even if they don’t really have to. Highly recommended ??

Flat drinks to food that there is more spice in a slice of white bread as someone that has worked as a catering butcher and chef , this place seriously cuts corners , staff although they come across as pleasant they really have set the standards that low I think even they are starting to live up to the delusion , portion sizes and meat levels in dishes are seriously bad if they can penny pinch and stand and do as little as possible they will,upon entering we were given a table an adequate size for 2 even though there were four of us and despite the restaurant being empty and better tables next to us ...we were forced to sit next to filthy blinds splattered in food and dust, on the floor thank you chocolates and other rubbish strewn around an empty restaurant , when the waiter came over we ordered drinks and starters, drinks were flat and seriously watered down even though they stated though it had come from a tap. It tasted like water and was flat as if poured from a seriously cheap bottle of week old nearly empty supermarket own brand coke , we asked why it was flat and tasted of water to be laughed at and ignored and he walked off , pulling faces ,upon ordering we weren't asked If any of us had allergies and staff seemed more fixated on standing and doing nothing a good six of them despite it being dirty and empty , one seemed more interested in expressing his body and doing weird air humping and flexing his muscles to an old man sat trying to eat by himself stating that it's leg day despite flexing his arms extremely close to this poor man , we were then rudely asked if we were going to order are main in a passive aggressive manner , food took along time to arrive a good half an hour for it to turn up just passable as it being warm , poppodoms seemed stale ,not freshly cooked as if cheap prepackaged ,rice did not seem fresh , one prawn that looked like it had been trod on for a whole special biryani dish and the meat seemed over cooked or as if it had been cooked and left to long to flash pan it . Four to five pieces of tiny chicken for another meal serving , corners had seriously been cut for eat in food for them to make maximum profits off basically just sauces the basic fundamentals of the basic dishes were seriously lacking, we ordered numerous types of naan breads for it to arrive with a honey or golden syrup drizzle instead of ghee or left dry ,despite the bread base being good the peshwari naans were not at all peshwaris they had cut major corners and had zero sultanas even though it is a major part of a peshwaris , again we complained and was offered one drink fresh miraculously this turned up with lemon in despite two of our drinks being flat , upon inspection when I looked at the lemon it seemed as if someone had cut the tip of their nail off and it had stuck to the lemon despite me thinking it was part of the lemon at first which I didn't realise till I took a gulp to get a mouthful of a nail either accidentally cut off or from a nail biter chewing and spitting it, as I pulled it out my mouth I could see what it was at this point I'd gave up with them trying to take advantage of them taking the P , when food was served we were each given a napkin these were dirty also and covered in debris of I don't know what , the whole night was an epic fail here, the waiter although pleasant came and asked us if we were enjoying our meals when we complained he walked off laughing yet again and seemed complacent and not wanting to listen despite me not finishing talking to him , this really riled me up at this point we all gave up for a team of them to bring the bill as if they were trying to intimidate the payment. When I complained and explained the situation he laughed at us , and were made out to be liars , despite showing proof. one then said we are happy for you not to pay for the item

HoT Community Cafe
Sacred Heart House, Silver Link Rd, Glascote Heath, TamworthJust recently found about this cafe, and after reading the reviews, I visited this morning. The people running the cafe, who are volunteers, were so friendly. The breakfast was great. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

The freedom to choose my own pitch was a refreshing change. I opted for a secluded spot within the woodland, ensuring privacy and a sense of seclusion. The tranquil grassy area was perfect for setting up my tent, and the only disturbance during the night came from the delightful sounds of a nearby fox.
From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel special and welcome. The staff were accommodating and helpful. The unhurried atmosphere in the morning allowed me to pack up at my own pace, leaving the campsite pristine and undisturbed.
If you're seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, Buzzards Valley Vineyard is an ideal destination. The off-grid camping experience offers the perfect blend of nature, tranquility, and hospitality.

Leisure Island, Riverdrive, TamworthI've been visiting the Snow dome for many years and have seen it get progressively busier. In my opinion there is too many people on the slope. My kids had a beginner lesson and there were at least 6 other groups on lessons. The recreational skiers simply don't have enough room if they are not really good and I saw 3 people in quick succession being knocked over by other skiers at the bottom and queueing. I'd recommend you travel a bit further and go to a bigger indoor slope. Tamworth is just too busy. And don't get me started about the size of the ques. Actual skiing time Vs queuing time for the beginner lift was so disappointing for the money you pay. However, that said, the receptionist was really good when I expressed my issues and they did help with a credit note. So I can't fault their customer service post purchase.

13 Aldergate, TamworthJust returned home from our annual trip to RTTW and for the last few years we have stayed at the Peel. a simply fantastic welcome awaits all who visit. lovely clean rooms. comfy beds. spotless accomodation plenty laughs were had and one or two drinks may or may not have been consumed over the weekend we love the breakfast and the food choice on the menu was outstanding. the chicken and the steak were divine our stay isnt complete without the care and attention of Sarah and her team. We love this place and look forward to next year

Lichfield Rd, TamworthScampi and chips were delicious and my dog quickly scoffed his chicken sausages from the dog menu. Dogs are welcomed warmly in the bar but not the restaurant. One of the grumpy locals informed me as I entered the pub as a visiting lone female. The beers are well kept and tasty plus a bonus on a Monday visit were they’re discounted! Highly recommended on the edge of Tamworth towards Lichfield. ??

Fontenaye Rd, TamworthJulie is a fabulous landlady. She always accommodates my severely sight impaired friend. The food is very well priced, lots of offers. I would definitely recommend The Coton Arms. It is a very welcoming pub, dog friendly too (I have taken my labradoodle). I feel comfortable enough to go in on my own too (I’m a lady in my late 40’s).

From the moment I walked in, everything from the service to the food was absolutely 10/10. The service, in particular, was some of the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant – attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on ensuring a great dining experience.
The restaurant itself was immaculate, with cleanliness clearly being a top priority. When it comes to value for money, the food was well worth every penny – delicious and generously portioned. A special mention to the manager who went above and beyond. Without me even mentioning it, they noticed my naan bread was slightly overcooked and promptly replaced it with a fresh one. That level of attention to detail is something you rarely see.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again.

105 Amington Rd, TamworthAbsolutely bostin' small fish and one cone of chips. My grandad comes here every Saturday night dead on 6pm for the freshest battered fish in town. He gets treated like a member of the family and he loves it. Couldn't be happier. As a family we love this chippy. I'll be patronising it again this Saturday when I visit from up North and up North we know how to do fish and chips like proper professionals but this one gives us Northerners a real run for our money. 10 out of 10. Chef's kiss.

21 Coleshill St, Fazeley, TamworthOrdered a Maverick burger and 16” pizzas. Absolutely delicious! Generous pizza toppings ( meat feast and farmhouse ) and my husband says the burger was probably the best he’s tasted in a long while. Pretty obvious it was handmade using fresh ingredients and no frozen rubbish. We’ll be back. Can highly recommend.
