The full English was a generous with tea and toast included. You can have it any which way you want.
Friendly folk working here told me it's the oldest working café in the land..

Canal Tavern
S Parade, Thorne, Doncaster5 people. Starters mains and desserts. Pies were amazing. Chicken burger was so tasty as was the veggie burger. Belly pork.. out of this world. Starters and puddings were perfect. 2nd visit for us as we travel from Liverpool and Lincs to meet up and will deffo go again. This is our perfect meeting spot but we are all too stuffed to drive home!!!

19 Queen St, Thorne, DoncasterDo you ever get the feeling of walking into a good old English pub and feeling immediately relaxed and welcome? Well if not then try here. Hard to say what makes a place like this just perfect but then if we knew that everyone would have it. Having excellent bar staff also helped. Watched as she personally greeted everyone coming in which is a skill in itself. In for 1 pint and stayed for 3.

Thorne, DoncasterVisited this lovely cafe for afternoon tea and couldn’t praise it enough. The food was presented beautifully and even better it tasted amazing! The sausage rolls were the best I have had in a long time. Staff are lovely and take pride in what they serve. Highly recommend.

Toasted cafe
Thorne, DoncasterWas recommended to go here for breakfast and was not dissapointed ~ even with a mix up with a hot drink. Food was done just as requested... Filling, tasty and kept it's heat ~ what else do you need to know when having Full-English breakfasts? Would definitely return if in the area and time permits.

King's Cafe
30 King St, Thorne, DoncasterIt was my first time here yesterday and I am very impressed! As a fussy eater, not many cafes live up to my ridiculously high expectations but this cafe definitely did. I asked for a cottage pie and got a lovely plate full of veg and a Yorkshire pudding with gravy that was the right thickness and full of flavour. I couldn't believe that a plate full of well cooked food and a delicious hot chocolate only came up to just over 7 pound! When a week before I had spent nearly 30 pound just for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. Definitely be coming here again I cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic flavours: especially a secret sauce I've never tasted, yummy. Great portion size. Lovely staff, if they don't know they ask a senior staff member, can't fault that. They will even prepare a dish off the menu of you book a day in advance (I like okra).
Saturday night, busy and loud (that's customers who shout not talk ?)
I'll be back regularly for the superb food. Highly recommend this CASH ONLY restaurant. Thank you ?

The Punchbowl Inn
Punchbowl inn, Field Side, Thorne, DoncasterCalled on the off chance for food , I had lasagne home made chips ,garlic bread and salad it was absolutely beautiful, chips were perfect. It’s a shame it was quiet , need to get the word out and let people know how nice it was. Bar staff friendly and helpful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
