Istanbul Kitchen and Bar

I have eaten in many a Turkish restaurant up and down the country, including rip-off London ones and small deliciously simple but superb local ones but this restaurant in Barnsley get the first prize for my money! Their Shish Kofte and lamb shish were as near as one can get to the ones you can get to the ones in the city of Istanbul without actually flying out there. Go treat yourself and have a great meal and congratulate the chef as you leave!

Well where do I start I took my wife mum and mother in law for afternoon and was absolutely stunning the little gift they received was a bonus too and a nice touch staff very polite and welcoming from start to finish we will definitely be back thanks very much

Urban Fresh Burgers & Fries - Barnsley

I ordered today and was just coming for some chips and a milkshake and jamie served me with great service and an amazing attitude. He also mentioned that I had an birthday burger on rewards that I wasn't aware of. Which made today's experience brilliant. Jamie needs a promotion.

Absolutely adored valentines evening, such an amazing atmosphere, staff put lots of effort into setting tables and complements to the chef and pub manager for the amazing food and such a romantic evening, this pub is such an amazing place, weather your popping in for a quick drink or for games night or a family meal it’s the perfect pub ❤️ absolutely love the pub and the people in it both Staff and customers ❤️

The Talbot Inn & 1776 Restaurant

Fantastic food, I tried pigeon for my starter and it was served with creamy mushrooms which was great. Very nice sirloin roast dinner, and one they best deserts I’ve ever had: raspberry blondie bites sundae with lemon sorbet. Great service too, very warm atmosphere and cosy interior.

Grille Steakhouse

Amazing food! The ribs are incredibly tender and the BBQ chicken wings are delicious. Service was very quick and friendly. Priced fairly too considering the quality. How busy it is can vary considerably so it's well worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Bells Bar & Kitchen

Amazing pub in this gorgeous village. Friendly atmosphere and top class food, freshly made it and super tasty. Perfect place for a family dinner. Highly recommended , I’ll be back for sure.

The Garrison

First time I have been here but my other half meets with friends every week and she eventually twisted my arm. Clean with a good atmosphere. Chairs, high stools, settees too, and there is plenty of space to relax. HUGE screen to watch sporting events and tables and chairs outside on the old cobbled yard. The food is good and the drinks are cold. They don't mind if you bring your dog here, so there is usually one or two to fuss over as they roam around from one group of people to another. It's just a nice place to meet, chat and of course, have a drink.

The Crown & Anchor

We had our Christmas meal here tonight. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Great atmosphere and staff were really good. Highly recommend the festive menu.

One of the best curries I've ever eaten , i got to find this place by chance passing, now I drive half hour to pick up when I want one, owner great guy too polite and friendly, but been several times now and everything is delicious

Friendly helpful staff, made my curry exactly how I asked and it was perfect. We keep trying different Indian restaurants and comparing it to this one, we have not found one that can top this yet for taste, price and atmostphere

I get lost following Sat Nav but this place was easy to find and with parking less than 20 seconds away from the entrance, what more could you ask for.

I would recommend to try something new and you'll have a new favourite each time

The tastiest, affordable takeaway pizzas in the area! Ordering on the website is definitely better - they always have fantastic deals on. The quality of the food is excellent and there’s a great range of options. The service and delivery is incredibly friendly too

Picked this takeaway due to the buy one get one free bugers. Not only did we get a bargain the burgers were delicious and also ordered a pizza that was also very nice. The delivery fee was also a bargain as i dont live near town, and the delivery driver was very pleasant and friendly. Came here after we had buried my dads ashes. They say first impressions count. From walking through the door to is leaving, they couldn't do enough for you. Food and service was very good.

PJ’s CAFE & BISTRO

We were there yesterday and had a roast lamb lunch it was delicious well worth every penny they are so friendly we usually go for breakfast which that is always good and hot will be going again

First time here today, staff were really friendly and polite. Food was fresh and piping hot, the food is really good quality not like most takeaways with processed frozen food, ingredients taste fresh and full of flavour even the garlic mayo tastes home made with fresh garlic. Well done guys for having pride in your food and recipes. I’ll certainly be back.

Millers Inn

Just been for a lovely Sunday lunch this afternoon with my other half. Absolutely amazing food and would highly recommend. Stuart, Julie and the team do a fantastic job. Warm, friendly and welcoming complete with fast and efficient service with a smile. You can’t go wrong at The Millers and you won’t be disappointed. The worst service. Ordered through App and something was missing.
I phoned the restaurant and they replied: Not our problem"

Absolutely delicious food along with a homely welcome! Would highly recommend as I will be returning especially for the large breakfast and a cuppa!Dietary restrictions: Staff very knowledgeable regarding food allergies and intolerances, which is handy in making food options.

Lovely people, great atmosphere & food was delicious, I would definitely recommend the fish and chips ? very welcoming

Parking: I drive a seven seater car and a transit van and have parked both with ease in the car park

Kid-friendliness: There's a beer garden at the back and a nice area inside which would have plenty of space for children away from the main bar.

Wheelchair accessibility: Side entrance would be very easy to get a wheelchair though and on one level

Great little cosy pub,friendly bar staff and a good affordable Sunday dinner. Never had a bad experience here and to my delight they serve Jack Rabbit rose wine either by the bottle or on tap. Definitely worth a visit

What I will say is, the garlic bread was banging. Ok the wall is said £2.30 and then£1.50 for cheesy chips but we got charged £8. When questioned a very angry man told us “that board is 25 years old!!! Prices have changed!!” Well, there’s some lovely art work on the wall of vintage prices if you want to know what you could have paid 25 years ago.

Ordered from here last night. Food was here on time and it was one of best Chinese food places I've ever had or tried. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Lady Was very polite when delivered as well.

Amazing vegan food cooked fresh to order. Struggle to find decent vegan food in the area and came across this takeaway which I had no idea changed to all vegan! Little longer than expected for delivery however was worth the wait as could tell it was all cooked fresh and still hot. 100% recommend! Even got my none vegan family to try it who couldn’t believe how nice it was!

De Niro's Pizza

Hadn't ordered from here for years as it was awful but someone at work recomended it so gave it another go.
Kebab meat was beautiful, my bf had chicken kebab and he loved it.
Look forward to trying more meals.

The Wentworth Brewers Fayre

Had a lovely family meal today, came after a football game (which we don't talk about, haha) Luke was amazing got us seated and was very helpful.
He was lovely with the kids and was even nice when we left to travel back to Stockport. Thanks again Luke !! See you soon

UK Fried Chicken

I ordered takeaway from this place at about 1am. I thought it would probably turn up cold but wow! Was I wrong!! Chicken was fresh, chips were piping and crisp and the chicken gravy was unbelievable!! I will definitely order again, food was fantastic!!

The food is OK.

I feel the standards are slipping, for the price increases, I think taking twice, taking more money, and reducing sizes.

I asked for one from the back, a hotter one, and she didn't seem impressed, said we serve from the front. I said I wish to purchase a hot one from the back. She did, but had a face like thunder. I'm guessing it wasn't her day, however that don't excuse the staff member.

My wife has the bacon cob and hot drink, and said it was nice, especially for the price

My favourite local kabab and pizza parlour. Always clean floors. Kitchen area seems clean and uncluttered from what I can see. Food prepared quickly. Prices are average for the area. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Disabled parking at front of shop.

Starbucks Coffee

After an honest mistake where I drove off without paying for my drink, the staff were so lovely and grateful that I'd gone back to pay that they just ignored the mistake. Absolute gems working here, wish it was closer to home.

Interesting experience. Picked up my order and was screamed at (but not in a bad way) by one of the staff) I guess this is how this Taco Bell welcomes their customers?

Ok it's not a Michelin stared restaurant but Food was very tasty & the staff were friendly and helpful we got exactly what we expected decent grub for less than £20 ?

I came here with a group of eight 11yr old boys and 4 adults for a birthday celebration. The staff were absolutely fabulous, managed to take all the orders with no errors at all. When they realised it was a birthday they brought over complimentary churros. They were brilliant ?

Food was excellent and Sarah the manager was very professional and polite she should be given a pay rise. A kind hearted person who cates for the company and all staff a lovely person ❤️

Chennells - Amber Taverns

This is one of the good ones..Great food is served upto 2pm. Real value for money.Great entertainment on a weekend evening,Tv's around the pub for those who like sport, football, horse racing etc...Gets really busy at times, but dosent all good pubs.Its a good start point, or finnish point or both

The pantry hosted a baby shower today for my sister. The service was outstanding and the food was beautiful. The owner was extremely accommodating when planning the baby shower and the presentation on the day was perfect. Thank you so much to all of team.

Monk Bretton’s Ocean Fish Bar

This is the best chippy in Barnsley. Nothing can top it.
The fish is cooked to perfection and the chips are always a winner.
Kids meals are more than enough.
No scrimping on portions in this chippy.
Pleasant staff and parking not a problem.

Cracker of a local boozer staff helpful and friendly locals friendly good ale prices ok if I lived in wombwell this would be my local still wombwell's best kept secret pub and great karaoke on weekends since the refurbished is better still

King Street Fisheries

Best chippy in Barnsley and surrounding areas by FAR. Lovely staff and owner. Prices are cheap but the food is lovely. Never had a bad meal from here, we go every week and everything is always spot on.

The Friery

We were visiting our daughter’s today & fancied fish & chips we Googled all those around her area, Broadway & The Friery had the best reviews so chose to go there. Glad we did, the staff were pleasant & helpful & the food which was all cooked fresh, was very tasty & large portions too. Will definitely return.
