The Cliffs, CheddarStill one of the best for Thai food in UK. I get takeaway and it is so well organised to bring order out to car to save on parking up etc.... A great well organised service.
As for the food, always stunning. The mango sticky rice is as good, if not better, than any I have had in Thailand.
As for photos? No time, too keen to get fired in. It's that good. !!

35 Silver St, CheddarThis is the best pub I have visited during my brief visit to Cheddar. The barman was a top guy and the customers were nice and chatty. The beer was pretty good as well.

La Rocca Italian Restaurant
Gorge, The Cliffs, CheddarMyself and my Wife have been here several times now for anniversaries etc and the recent visit we bought our daughter along for my wife's 40th! The food has and continues to be top quality and perfect portion sizes! The atmosphere is great, low lighting, Italian music playing and although usually always packed, still spaced out enough to hold a conversation without hearing everyone else around. Staff have always been great, and very little wait times for food. Highly recommend booking as it's always busy.... For a very good reason!

The White Hart
The Bays, CheddarWe popped in to have a late breakfast and it was very busy. They just a table of 20 to cook for but said it would half an hour. When the food came it was a large plate full. The bacon was very lean and tasty. It all tasted very nice. One criticism was there wasn’t a tomato to be seen. Plenty of mushrooms which I put on my hubbys plate as I really don’t like them and normally he swaps for his tomato. But there was none. Such a shame. But will definitely go back.

Lion Rock Tea Rooms
The Cliffs, CheddarFantastic little tearooms, very quaint retro decor, friendly staff and great menu. Our waitress was very helpful in accommodating some special dietary needs and the chef went above and beyond. All our meals were superb, tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely return and recommend.

The Cliffs, Cheddarvisited today and pleased we did lovely friendly staff and the food was very good we had traditional pasties with salad. all very fresh we will be going back to sample their cream tea. prices as expected at a tourist area but not over the top

The Cider Barn
Draycott Rd, CheddarI bloody love this place! We’ve visited several times whilst staying at the lodges & have always been warmly welcomed by the locals. There’s live music on a Sunday night & we had such an amazing fun time! Don’t expect any glitz or glamour, just proper old school pub atmosphere with delicious food & lots of quirks. I really hope that nobody tries to modernise it as it’s just perfect as it is. Definitely recommend!

Cheddar Ales Brewery, Tap Room and Shop
Winchester Farm, Draycott Rd, CheddarFirst visit and enjoyed the flight tasters, very well priced and friendly warm welcome as we walked in! We come from the local campsite and I would recommend all campers to pop in for a few nice Ales! Mango & Lime Cider is very refreshing ?

Cliff St, CheddarFish and chips were really good and a good portion size. Let down a bit by a chap behind the counter that was rude while ordering. All the others working were plenty enough though. Not expecting Michelin level service in a take away but to be told 'i haven't got time for this' when in an empty chippy and spending £60 on fish chips is not to be expected anywhere.

Unit 4 The Cliffs, CheddarA place with nice service. You don't have to wait long for your meal. I ordered fish and chips and in my opinion they were too greasy. The burgers looked much more appetizing.

Waterfall cafe & Ice creams Ltd
The Cliffs, CheddarWhilst in Cheddar we visited for coffee/tea . We were greeted by a friendly staff member. Our order for the above was taken along with home made bread pudding which had a lovely cinnamon aroma too it, my wife acclaimed it as very good. A full menu of food is also available,a nice way to relax for half an hour to watch the world go by.

Spice Cottage
Spice Cottage, Union St, CheddarWe have just had an amazing meal in celebration of our daughter’s birthday. The food was outstanding and the service was simply amazing! 10 of us (and two babies) were made to feel welcome and greeted warmly. The service was courteous and efficient throughout our evening and the ‘extra touches’ of complimentary wine and chocolate mints was a real unexpected treat for us all. We all enjoyed ourselves massively. We felt unhurried and were able to celebrate in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Would most highly recommend Spice Cottage. We will definitely be back regularly! Many thanks to the wonderful staff (and compliments to the chef!)

Riverside Inn Cheddar
Cliff St, CheddarWow, what a gem of a place . We went (4adults and a infant)late on a Sunday afternoon after a leisurely day in Cheddar . Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Really quick on service and helpful in our choice of meals .
All our meals came out faster than we expected which was a great surprise and it looked so appetising.
The vegetarian option for lunch was really tasty.
The staff were helpful in giving us some foil for the leftovers which we couldn’t manage , but it didn’t stop us ordering a pudding.
Overall we couldn’t fault it (except I would like English mustard) and we planned another visit for lunch in the week .
Well done everyone, especially as we found out how busy you had been before our visit.
Look forward to going back .
