The White Hart
4 Fore St, Castle CaryWe went in for a pint on a chilly Monday evening. Warmly welcomed by friendly staff and chatty locals. Dog was welcomed too and was made a fuss of. Comfortable bar area, pub clearly two or three hundred years old. Not too noisy/busy for a cosy chat. Relaxing way to spend an hour or two. We’ll definitely be back when next in the area.

The Orchard Inn
High Rd, Galhampton, YeovilI popped in here for lunch today with my husband.
We both had a curry from the light bites lunch menu, it was tasty. Creamy.
The curry came with rice, poppadoms and Mango chutney. Delicious.
Friendly staff. Meal's are very well priced.
Vegetarian options: Not many on the lunch menu. But there are a few and they cater for gluten free.

Lovely welcome, swiftly served. GREAT Kofta Kebab. Server was not phased by the fact I presented him with a torn £10 note, & was very kind & sellotaped & I had some extra salad to boot! Good food portion too & well packaged up.
Great place. I shall be returning & can Highly recommend!

Dragon House
3 Ashby Pl, Castle CarySuch a surprise that there is authentic Cantonese takeaway in Castle Cary. My family was so pleased. We had nice chat with the owners in Cantonese and so pls trust us that it's indeed a gem. There is hidden menu so just ask what you want and they might be able to make it happen (better pre-order tho.
Ate the fried beef with bitter melon! Sweet and sour pork! It is estimated that there is no such authentic restaurant in Guangzhou. It has a retro feel and time has been frozen.
