Two Henrys - Pub & Grill
Robert Jones Way, Battlefield, ShrewsburyMenu online showed a number of gluten free options and was in a handy location to meet up.
Staff VERY helpful: When we asked about gluten free menu, we had to browse an apparently different menu, to that seen online, on a tablet. It was not particularly clearly laid out and had inconsistencies eg. why could we have a gluten free apple crumble with ice cream, but not custard? (There were several dishes on main menu which we could not fathom why they weren't gluten free)
The staff were extremely helpful with several trips to kitchen to check gluten free status and availability. We were told they'd just cleaned the fryers so we could have chips (they do not have a fryer dedicated to non gluten foods) so we were able to have, what is for us, a treat of pub chips.
Prices reasonable, pub clean and tidy and relaxing. Glad we came here.
Dear Green King; making menus clearer for those with allergies and dedicated allergy equipment could make this place a 'go-to' for fellow sufferers.
Many thanks to the team
Dietary restrictions: Allergy menu on a tablet. Didn't seem to match website menu (which is clearer)
