We visited on a Saturday evening, prebooked to avoid disappointment.

Food was a very good standard, waitress was really good at assisting us with offers we'd recieved via the Bella app. To get the best value for money.

Only disappointment was disabled toilet and standard toilets were in awful condition. They didn't look to have been cleaned that day.

We were also seated near the door, we were disturbed often by a draft blowing in through the doors, many people turned up to be turned away but restaurant didn't look at capacity. Staff had propped one of the double doors open, which looked inviting for potential customers, only to be turned away once inside.

Food was very good, well mine was, the fish was huge and a good portion of fries on the side, my aunts steak was ordered medium and did come out well done, but she said for the price she didn't want to complain, the lady who served us was called Alex and she was very friendly and attentive when taking our orders, and I was very happy with Tim the chef, just maybe work on steak cooking times :), an overall good meal out 4/5

The Woodbridge Inn

We ate at The Woodbridge Inn, Coalport, on the Sunday before Christmas. It was a treat for my sister and brother-in-law. We were thrilled that there was disabled access as neither of them are very steady on their feet! The food was all excellent, beautifully cooked and well presented. It was very festive and, despite being extremely busy, the ambiance was lovely, helped by the layout of the restaurant which never felt overcrowded. We never felt rushed and our waitress, Maddie, was attentive without being obtrusive, she was a delight. We are looking forward to eating there again in the not too distant future.

This is the best Indian food I’ve had in Telford. The food is delicious, tasty, beautiful. The service is exceptional. They said if I felt my dish was too garlicky for me, they would cook another one. So kind. All the staff are friendly, welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and professional. Price of food is great value for money. I recommend my food to anyone, poppadoms with beautiful colourful dips, chicken tikka starter, my companion had chilli paneer. Yummy! I had a main of North Indian garlic chilli chicken, was so tasty, we shared rice and we had a Naan each. My friend had a curry of lamb made to their liking. Tell them your likes and dislikes because nothing is too much trouble. I will be returning!

The food was very good and well priced. It's a gastro pub so don't expect fine dining but for what is it they have really made an effort with the decor and atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly.
The large mixed playlist a big hot plate full of meat. Enough to fill up two big eaters. Probably 3 normal people! Very tasty as well. Chips portion is large compared to other places. Would recommend for a relaxed night out with the boys or with the missus.

Visiting family in shawbirch we came for a takaway. As a Yorkshire man I love my fish n chips, and it takes something special to please me. I have got to say probably the best fish n chips I've had in years. We came for dinner, firstly the app wasn’t accepting our discount code but the staff behind the counter sorted that out without a fuss. Then three of the four pizzas arrived promptly. The forth was mysteriously aloof. After two visits to check on the missing pizza it arrived with lots of apologies. We accept that mistakes can happen and can only praise the manager and the staff for the way in which the situation was dealt with. We did not complain, we didn’t need to, the mistake was dealt with more than satisfactory. Can recommend this outlet for the customer service.

You know I love a vibrant English pub especially on an early Sunday morning. The raucous clink of plates and the energetic conversations. Cheap and cheerful. The atmosphere still clings to an age of cigarette smoke and the carnival thrills of the one armed bandits beckon the wishful thinkers. With an extensive menu that takes 2 coffees to work through the choice is inevitably a try-hard celebration to the working mans appetite. The breakfasts just like mum used to make and a relief to the sadistic economic depression. Wonderfully cheap, delightfully packed, deliciously prepared, although at times may have lingered a little too long under the heat lamps. A must for the kids is the succulent small fish and chips which I are well worth pilfering when a suitable distraction falls in place. The all you can drink tea and coffee encourages sentimental conversations of a time when politically correct was nothing more than a punchline. I write this in the hope that this precious sanctuary to a by-gone age is left alone and as well-preserved as the generous eagerness of the youthful service.

There’s nothing that makes customers feel more valued than stepping through the door, waiting in line - and seeing their order (large Latte) being brewed before they’ve even spoken!! Such is my experience at Oakengates where I visit about 2-3 mornings a week. Tracy (my personal ‘brewer’ as I see her most often) is such a lovely woman, always cheery no matter how dark, dull and dismal the weather (or my day). Note: there is no room to eat in at this branch but there are 3 benches outside if you don’t like eating on the hoof. A lovely place to go.

The woman serving is always so friendly and nice. If you are a regular she remembers you, your orders and conversations she’s had with you. Truly goes out of her way, and is so kind.The food here is by far the best in the local area especially compared to some of the closer ones that tend to be bland and the pricing isn’t that far off. I’d say it’s 100% worth it. My mum is a vegetarian and this is also the best place for options for her, and she raves about the tofu.Out of the 3 or so years I’ve ordered from here (could be longer i’m not too sure). I’ve only ever had 1 singular dish not be up to the standard and even then it was still highly enjoyable.Vegetarian options: Whilst i’m not vegetarian my mum is, and she’s been able to swap most dishes including sauce and meat into sauce and tofu. You may need to ask separately as it may not be on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp off the right side of the door. Not too steep so actually accessible unlike other steeper ramps.

Parking: Car park next to the Pheasant is free but time limited. Parking is available nearby (within 5 min walk) which offers more flexibility.

The food has always been amazing. We havent been for a while but booked a table and wasnt disappointed. The service on our previous visits has been shocking having to keep asking for drinks etc . On one occasion my husband actually went to the bar to get our drinks because we were fed up with waiting to be asked but this time I have to say the service was much better. We were literally asked almost straight away what we wanted to drink. Its a shame about the bad service because the food is amazing, never had a bad meal . If the service keeps up its definitely worth the visit !
