The Kings Yard Micropub
Unit 2 Cheapside, ShifnalThe King's Yard is a fantastic micro pub with the usual local ales like HPA and some funky Kraft ales like Deya and Stonehouse. The cobs, pork pies and sausage rolls are really lush and fresh. I am also recently disabled and now use a power chair and they always make me feel welcome and move for me to get in. Sam and Kat are great and make you feel welcome ?

Hall Ln, Kemberton, ShifnalWe were staying locally and the masons arms was recommended. Meal for three with very attentive staff who paid attention to detail. Waitress remembered who had ordered what without having to ask which was very nice. Food lovely. Prices about normal. Highly recommended and would definitely return if in the area again.

15 Victoria Rd, ShifnalBest pub in the world and make sure you ask Ski for a sherry as it's absolutely amazing and she makes loads of effort. I had to have two as the first one was so good.

The Plough Inn
26 Broadway, ShifnalFriendly welcome from all staff. Very helpful with safely storing a bag for me whilst I had to pop out for a while.
Great range of drinks, and I particularly enjoyed the perfectly served Guinness! Thank you!
The building is a bit of a TARDIS in that there is a huge amount of space in various rooms plus the patio and garden areas, yet the frontage is just a quaint old pub.
Definitely would return if I'm ever in the area again.

Shifnal Cottage
Crackleybank, ShifnalOne of my favourite eastern restaurants. The flavours in the curry are the main reason, whilst there is heat in the ones you would expect it's not a priority here, the flavours are the important thing. While the service is attentive it is not over bearing and is professional with a healthy dose of friendlynes. I discovered this restaurant about 4 years ago and have returned multiple times and introduced it to a number of other people with great pleasure.
If you visit ever, I and several others will agree with each other and recommend the Zafrani Tawa Kari. It is full of flavour and a progressive mid range heat. Also the Luhari Kahari is equally as nice, full of flavour also with a progressive mid range heat. Both of those are my favourites and the Zafrani is a strong favourite amongst my friends.
The only thing I could ask to improve on is the selection of coffees at the end of the meal. Whilst an Irish or Floater coffee is nice I would love a flat white, latte or a cappuccino as an option. That said, even without any kind of coffee for desert I would still give this restaurant five stars.
We look forward to returning to Shifnal Cottage again in the not too distant future.

The Smokey cow
Madeley Rd, Beckbury, ShifnalI never knew this fabulous restaurant even existed! I am bitterly disappointed by this as the food is Smokehouse Phenomenal! It's tucked away in the countryside but go and find it, you will be so glad you did.
We booked for a Monday night and yes, it was quiet but we were treated like royalty.
If you love smokehouse food then you are in for a treat. We had a mix of slow roasted brisket, rack of ribs and a Mac and cheese hot dog accompanied by giant onion rings, pit beans and a garlic and cheese pretzel! Eyes bigger than tummy, yes, but they happily did a doggy bag for us; the portions are very generous. The meat was melt in the mouth tender and delicious.
Lovingly refurbished with great, attentive and friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks. The cider is Somersby. There is just nothing not to love about the Smokey Cow.
You can sit at the bar and have a drink if you don't feel hungry. Lots of seating outside too.
Cannot wait to return to this authentic smokehouse.
