The Courtyard Tearooms - Oswestry

Griffin Courtyard, Leg St, Oswestry

Lovely little spot for lunch, mushrooms on toast were lovely, could have done with a bit more seasoning for my personal taste, but we're still very enjoyable.
Service was satisfactory, however it was getting busy so they did no check backs.
Would return in future.
Lovely interior design.

We were staying in a b&b in Oswestry and the vegetarian owners recommended Amber's to us. Obviously they cater well for vegetarians vegans and meat eaters like myself as well as providing low gluten options.

Wonderful atmosphere great staff and fantastic food.

Dietary restrictions: My wife is a coeliac and they demonstrated full knowledge of what this meant and did a brilliant job providing Nadine with a lovely pizza!

We visited this beautiful, quaint pub yesterday (28th Aug 2024). The staff were so polite and welcoming and the food was stunning. Probably the best food we've ever eaten in a pub. We cannot recommend The Griffin enough. If you want excellent food, at more than reasonable prices, in a relaxed environment, then The Griffin is the perfect place for you. The steak was cooked perfectly, the triple cooked chips were amazing and the Signature Burger was a feast for any hungry diner. Keep doing what you're doing because it's perfect!

Interesting pub with an extensive beer list including, when we visited, a beetroot saison. Certainly some curiosities available. Friendly landlord. No food.

Parking: Parking is free in the Marketplace after six. Oswestry has a confusing one-way system.

I booked The Green Inn at relatively short notice for a car club to visit. This was 25 cars. Millie was amazing and organised the menu and pre orders. She communicated brilliantly and was very accommodating. We arrived and food was dished out expediently, it was hot and very tasty, not to mention very good value. The car park is large and the garden too (although it was raining so we sat indoors). Overall a fabulous place to visit and VERY recommended.

What a gem. My wife and I have just returned from our first stay at Pen y Dyffryn. It most certainly won’t be our last. Pen y Dyffryn is set in a beautiful, tranquil, rural location. I cannot find fault with anything at all during our stay. The staff were so friendly and professional, our room was modern and laid out to an exceptionally high standard. Breakfast and dinner were beautifully prepared with quality ingredients and served in a relaxed atmosphere in the dining room. In between these meals you must find room for the home made scones and raspberry jam!! A wonderful stay all round.
