Go down the stairs into the Vaults/cellar, and you'll be amazed at what greets you...wow!
Great relaxing and calm atmosphere with good beers and drinks. There is some food available, and maybe next time, I'll try the chef's burger.
The music in the background was excellent and fitted in with the good vibes of this amazing pub.
Definitely recommend a visit to this pub. The landlords and locals are fantastic..

Parking: Paid town parking along with lots of free parking in and around Ellesmere town centre...
Wheelchair accessibility: Possibility of wheelchair access through the rear garden entrance, although I'm sure the landlords will be available to help you if you ask

The Shropshire Distillery
Eastwick Ln, EllesmereDue to me being so disorganised, my daughter and I attended a gin making session 2 hours late. We were really disappointed but the owners told us we could join the cocktail tasting session an hour later. Whilst we waited we were served some lovely cocktails and some nibbles. Once everyone arrived we were all treated to an informative demonstration on cocktail making and serving. It was not the stuffy pompous sessions I’ve attended in the past at different venues. The emphasising here was having a good time. Everyone certainly did. We enjoyed it so much we rebooked for the gin making session a few weeks later! Last Saturday was the date we attended the gin making session (we were on time too!). Once again we had a great time creating our own gins whilst sampling some other amazing gins. We would definitely recommend this company for treating friends and family for a special afternoon learning about gins and cocktails in a fun and informal atmosphere. The hosts are brilliant and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Thank you both for putting up with us. We will definitely be back soon!

Sourdough toast with avocado scrambled eggs and bacon. Cheese on toast with pineapple or chilli jam.
Really good recommendation from a relative.

Pizza The Mere
hotel, High St, EllesmerePizzas were really good. Was a bit difficult to find where to collect, it's inside the hotel, through the doors on the right and the kitchen was on the left. They left the pizzas on the side for us to collect so we weren't waiting around.

The Mereside, EllesmereAbsolutely amazing evening ❤️ Private dining for our family get together pre-Christmas and everything was faultless. Wonderful homely atmosphere, roaring fires with cosy seating and a fabulous welcome at the bar. Food was fantastic, everyone commented on the quality, presentation and taste of ALL the different dishes we had the pleasure in tasting and great value. Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing service, well stocked bar and such attentive hosting too. Cannot recommend enough, everything was top notch and we went home with full tummies and a smile - I will certainly be upping my trifle game! Thank you ☺️
