The Terrace Cafe
177 Main St, WishawWent today for afternoon tea with my Mum and teenage sons. We arrived a little late due to crazy traffic. Not a problem. Our food was set out and looked absolutely gorgeous! A generous selection of sandwiches, wraps, scones with cream and jam and cakes. We had tea, hot chocolate and a latte between us. All were fab. My teapot was topped up when I needed it. The staff are all lovely and routinely checked in to see we had everything we needed. The cafe itself is quirky and comfortable. The food served around us looked first class too. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

I had the three course lunch menu what an amazing price, selection and service ... a warm welcome from the staff, I visited this restaurant on the basis of a recommendation. I travelled from Paisley and can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. I had the pate my cousin had the melon both delightful, I had the penne pasta it would of feed a family of four and my cousin had the fish and chips with a love fresh side salad , ice cream for afters ... the people next to us got the cheese board , it looked amazing.... I wish the staff and owner a very big thank you xx

159E Netherton Rd, Netherton Industrial Estate, WishawNever really been a fan for Indian food but wow I have tried celeonese chicken korma delicious, I then moved onto a donner kebab & tonight I got a chicken tikka bbq kebab, I’m very fussy when it comes to eating out but this place is something else, the portions are a healthy sized scran.. cannot say anything bad for what I have tried

7 Stewarton St, WishawGreat food cooked fresh and great group of guys. I order different things each time. Their Hoagies are absolutely smashing. Kebab meat allways fresh not that dried out stuff you usually get that's sat for days then reheat and served to you. This place is great

2-4 Glasgow Rd, WishawWas visiting my former hometown of Wishaw from the USA where we now live. 'Got a fish supper, fried haggis and some fritters (with salt and vinegar of course) from the nice server lady. The food tasted exactly as I remember it 50 years ago. Wonderful ! ' Shame they don't deliver to the USA or I'd be a regular customer. Long may The Golden Fry keep serving wonderful fish and chips etc. to the people of Wishaw and beyond...

10 Carfin Rd, WishawI got a large grill munchie box last night and it was amazing one of the best I've tried in years, the chicken tikka was massive pieces n tasty so was the shish and donner kebab i swapped the chicken chat for chicken pakora and they were tasty too the only disappointing thing that let the meal down was the seekh kebab it was dry i also asked for a garlic Nan bread instead of the plain nan it was nice but a bit small for the large grill box all in all i really enjoyed my meal and i know my Indian food as I've worked as a chef in a few different Indian restaurant's and takeaways, well done everyone at the Grill "n" Chill.

33D Glasgow Rd, WishawQuite simply the best mixed meat chow mein (no prawns) I have had in Lanarkshire.
The photo does not do the chow mein justice with meat throughout the noodles as well. All the meat tasted great. Highly recommend.

6 Hill St, WishawThis is a large very busy and lively bar on Hill st Wishaw. On saturday night i went to see some friends The State Blues Band play a show there. Unlike some bars on Glasgow which are relatively quiet, this bar was very lively indeed. I suppose the difference is not being spoiled for choice in Wishaw. Range of drinks and service from staff was excellent.
