Tudor Coffee House
4A Common Grn, StrathavenStill the best tearoom in town, but the competition is growing. However the staff make it my first choice if I'm not going out of town. The menu is definitely the best value for money out of the nine other cafes and tearooms in the town. Soups are usually very good and the all day breakfast is popular.

Taal Restaurant
2 Bridge St, StrathavenFood was lovely. Very tastyThe service felt very rushed. Like "let's get these people fed and out of here as quickly as possible."In the rush we got an extra drink we hadn't ordered and they forgot about a curry we had ordered.Even stretching over to deliver food and drink seems unacceptable to me. Just walk round the table and take it to the person who asked for itIf the food hadn't been so good I don't know if I would return.Hopefully they are just having a bad day and that's not the norm.

The Waterside
31 Waterside St, Lanark, StrathavenThe heartwarming, healthily-wholesome, flavoursome, fresh food was exactly what we wanted after driving 8 hours.
The three of us had planned a couple of weeks beforehand to come here to The Waterside after it was recommended by friends, who do the trip from south UK countryside and London to the Highlands often so they know their stops.
Indie and Kyle front of house along with the clearly capable chef served us the perfect evening. We will be back, and to try Taal down the road!

Greggs
35, 37 Common Grn, StrathavenThis gregs is no different from other branches of greggs selling big softies, oval bits, various sandwhiches, sausage rolls, steak bites, chicken bites and pies etc. The shop is small but the food always smells so good. They have a few packets of crisps and they also sell bread and a nice variety of cakes including yum yums and strawberry tarts etc. This is popular with the locals and as a result late on a Saturday there is not much left so go early if you can. This shop is shut on a Sunday.

Strathaven Gift Shop & Tea Room
12-16 Common Grn, StrathavenOur first time travelling to Strathaven Town today 10 th June. We wanted to find out what Strathaven Town is like? It's a small town but very pleasant and clean town.
We were looking for a place to eat and we walked pass Strathaven tea room. Before we went in had a peep through the window. The place look nice and clean so decided to go inside to have a look at their menu. The young lady was pleasant and friendly. She gave us few minutes to look at the menu. Time to place the order. I ordered breaded fish and chips and my friend ordered macaroni and chips and tea. Whilst we were waiting for our meals. I decided to googled the reviews. Oh dear three out of three left one star on tea room reviews. We were like oh god.... Was it really that bad? Well I can tell you we really enjoyed our meals and didn't have a bad experience in the tea room at all.
Anyway, we waited for between fifteen to twenty minutes for our meals and tea to arrived. We were very happy with the meals. Freshly cooked and piping hot too. I am very happy with my fish and chips there was not a bit of grease on the fish and chips at all. My friend enjoyed hers too. Well done chef and thank you.
We would definitely come back here again if we travel to Strathaven Town.
