The food we bought for a party on Strathaven gala day was on a different level. No pictures as we ate it all. Will definitely get more party food again. Thank you so much Theo and staff.

Tudor Coffee House

Still the best tearoom in town, but the competition is growing. However the staff make it my first choice if I'm not going out of town. The menu is definitely the best value for money out of the nine other cafes and tearooms in the town. Soups are usually very good and the all day breakfast is popular.

13 Barn Street

The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The service exceptional, every request is met with a smile, and they work as a team and go above and beyond and nothings too much hassle. A lovely family run business. The food is absolutely amazing! All freshly made by the amazing chef Shri, I’ve loved trying the Sri Lankan specials, each dish bursts with authentic Sri Lankan flavours and is incredible, no sauces just spice and the flavours are amazing and fresh! Great coffee and baking too!! There’s loads of room for prams with excellent changing facilities. Highly recommend

The Crib Community Coffee House

best handmade burgers, wings in homemade sauce, Lesleyannes macncheese is to die for as is her soup. Don't get me started on the toasties or baked potatoes. side salads with dressings! Service with a truly happy smile from baristas who have been trained in the art of coffee making for the connoisseur! Chats available with pastoral staff if you need it. What's not to love. This is a one stop coffee shop/tearoom. Get your lunch and support when you need it most. There's even a bank there on Tuesdays! Can this place get any better?! only if they have serenades by Martin! A whole round wonderful experience from the second you enter til the second you leave. Now that's the magic of the Crib. I hope you go from strength to strength. Your hospitality is amazing, especially for first time visitors.....makes you feel like family.

Q's Deli

My go too place for lunch in the town. The lentil soup is always amazing and they have a great selection of both cold and hot lunch options. The guys that work there are always happy and create a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yee Hong Strathaven

We have recently moved to Strathaven and were keen to try the local takeaways. This was one of our first and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly when placing the order on the phone, the food was ready in 15 mins and was so flavourful. They have a Great selection on the menu and is fairly priced. I will definitely be returning.

Taal Restaurant

The food here is amazing! I have been the the Braidwood restaurant on a few occasions and everything I have tried has been delicious. I enjoyed a meal there last Wednesday, and left my purse in the restaurant without realising. The next evening two lovely gentlemen from the restaurant brought the purse to my home after I failed to contact them. This was above and beyond. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to come back again!

The Waterside

The heartwarming, healthily-wholesome, flavoursome, fresh food was exactly what we wanted after driving 8 hours.

The three of us had planned a couple of weeks beforehand to come here to The Waterside after it was recommended by friends, who do the trip from south UK countryside and London to the Highlands often so they know their stops.

Indie and Kyle front of house along with the clearly capable chef served us the perfect evening. We will be back, and to try Taal down the road!

The Heron Farm Shop & Kitchen

Wheelchair accessibility: Only two designated disabled parking bays both of which are excellent flat concrete with a concreted path to the main entrance. Otherwise you are faced with a roughish uphill unmarked car park.

Greggs

This gregs is no different from other branches of greggs selling big softies, oval bits, various sandwhiches, sausage rolls, steak bites, chicken bites and pies etc. The shop is small but the food always smells so good. They have a few packets of crisps and they also sell bread and a nice variety of cakes including yum yums and strawberry tarts etc. This is popular with the locals and as a result late on a Saturday there is not much left so go early if you can. This shop is shut on a Sunday.

Ive never had a meal from the manzil but i wouldnt mind a bit of the delivery guy .Think his names greg .Hopefully the curries are as hot and spicy as him .Yum yum

Strathaven Gift Shop & Tea Room

My wife and I, along with our 90 year old 'birthday girl' thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea yesterday. The highlight was when you made a 'birthday cake' for her, and she was really touched by this thoughtful gesture. I am pretty confident, we will be back. Thanks once again. Douglas

Been using this take away years since it opened great for burgers,fresh base pizza,kebabs, curries etc, good delivery service as well.Our favourite in the Town.
