Restaurants in North Berwick
The Grange Restaurant & Steakhouse
35 High St, North BerwickThe two of us went for lunch and we’re tempted by the Turkey dinner which was a special for Christmas. OMG! It was fantastic!! I’m a fussy eater but I devoured everything, even the sprouts! Matt and Joanne are amazing hosts and the care that goes into the service and food quality are second to none.

Osteria
71 High St, North BerwickThe rose-red slices of raw beef fillet are cut expertly thin, almost translucent, and streaked with fat. Yet this carpaccio is so soft, so melty, so full of feels in the mouth, I come perilously close to abandoning my principles. It’s drizzled with taleggio cheese fondue, lighter and less ripe than hoped for, closer to a mild cream. Dessert is a perfect tiramisu, all unending (and unfinishable) ruffles of cream and savoiardi soaked in booze.

Archerfield Walled Garden
Archerfield Walled Garden Archerfield Estate, DirletonGreat place to eat, browse the shop and walk the grounds. The only gripe we had today was we ordered a beetroot burger and didn't want the chips so asked if we could have some salad instead. An extra £3! Anywhere else would just do the swap with no extra charge.

The Rocketeer Restaurant
26 Victoria Rd, North BerwickWe (family of four) went for a late lunch at The Rocketeer Restaurant after a Wildlife catamaran cruise at the Scottish Seabird Centre which is next door to The Rocketeer Restaurant. The super friendly and lovely staff were able to get a table for us within a few minutes during a busy period and the food was delicious. So delicious in fact that I am adding a segment of our dining experience in one of my travel vlogs on YouTube and my family have insisted that we make another trip (from London) to Scotland we and must stop at North Berwick for a meal at The Rocketeer. We had the seafood platter to sample various dishes, the fish and chips and some chowder. Everything we tried was great and the chowder is hands down the best we have ever had - and we have had our fair share of seafood around the globe. Very highly recommended and we will definitely be making another 400 mile journey to Scotland and stopping off for some chowder in 2024 too.

TKH Fish Bar
119 High St, North BerwickWe were staying at the local campsite and decided on a fish supper, phoned through to collect and the young man took our order, it's cash (there are cash points nearby), we collected x 2 fish suppers and the tubs of mushy peas are very generous too, fish portions are good and chips are very tasty, served with lemon and in a cardboard case, we would definitely recommend. JP's Deli and Cafe
96 High St, North BerwickI stopped in for a quick meal and was not disappointed. The staff are super friendly, the prices are fair, the quality of the food is excellent, and overall I really enjoyed my experience. It doesn’t have a lot of seating so I took my sandwich to go and ate it by the sea - no problem there.

Marine North Berwick
18 Cromwell Rd, North BerwickHad a great stay in November last year, the hotel was brilliant, the breakfast was good for vegetarians, although the evening meal options weren’t great for veggies so we didn’t eat at the hotel in the evenings. It’s a relatively short walk into the town and there were a few options to eat out there.Stunning scenery and the spa facilities were great. The room was lovely with great sea viewsRooms: Luxury feel and well presentedNearby activities: Some lovely walks, bike hire from the hotel, beach walks, exploring north Berwick

The Herringbone
1-3 Westgate, North BerwickSuch a great place in North Berwick. The atmosphere is great, with a fun beach look. The food was exquisite. I had the venison & chorizo burger with sweet potato chips. I loved how they cooked the chips Everything was perfectly cooked. The salmon burger was a great combination of flavors. We ordered a side of mac & cheese for fun and it was divine. I wanted to take a bucket of that stuff to go. So tasty. The mousse was a little too loose, but tasty. Service was great and prices were good.

Poonthai's
7 Westgate, North BerwickAs soon as I spotted this place on our arrival in North Berwick, I was desperate to try it out. Our kids aren’t fans of Thai food so we opted for a takeaway. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend. I arrived a bit early to order as I didn’t realise they didn’t open until 6 but they were still happy to serve me and I sat in peace for 20 mins waiting for the food to be made. It was well worth the wait, and reasonably priced too.
