Macraj Indian Restaurant & Takeaway

My family organised a fairly large surprise gathering there for my birthday as its my favourite resteraurant in the area. Family came from all over the UK, so mostly MacRaj 'newbies'. Every one of them pointed out afterwards how amazing their food had been, the staff were fantastic and very attentive. MacRaj made the experience perfect. From takeaway to sit down meal or large gathering, I'd highly recommend this place, they just seem to have it all the bases covered for a great overall service.

The Lossie Chip Shop

Great fish and chips.

We've been coming here for 12 years and always enjoy their delicious fish and chips, great care is taken to ensure the food us cooked to perfection with lovely crispy batter.

The Harbour Lights

Called in for a bowl of the local Cullen skink (It's a fish soup). Wasn't disappointed, it was lovely. Also had a can of beer, which was also very nice.
Pleasant friendly staff.

Fountain Juice Bar

The Juice bar is such a lovely spot to have some healthy, feel good food for a change! The home made lemonade is my personal fav when I need a little refreshment!

Twenty Nineteen Coffee

I organised to have a baby shower here and it was simply perfect! The staff made everything flow smoothly, from their brilliant service to the amazing food. The afternoon tea was a highlight, and they even let us take home doggie bags. A stress-free and delightful experience all around! Highly recommend for special occasions!

Deli-cious

Oh my goodness the food is so fresh and tasty. Cullen Skink and the most delicious fresh lobster roll ever. Got some home made custard creams wow wish we had bought more. Please give them a try for great food and friendly staff

The Beach Hut

Best vegan food we've had up north- my son happily told the chef that it was the best place ever! Great vegan hot dog, delicious burger, amazing salt and pepper chips, and 3 (yup, 3!!) incredible vegan cakes- we tried all of them! Honestly can't remind highly enough

The 1629

The 1629 is back.
Fantastic atmosphere, amazing food and great service.
Lossie was missing that special place to go for that really special meal, glad to see upstairs back open for exactly that.

Will be a regular visitor can’t recommend highly enough.

Brander Arms

Called in for a lunchtime drink. The landlady informed us that the pub was closing down at the weekend, as the property owner had served notice on them that the property was being put on the market for sale.
It was quiet with a friendly atmosphere and served a lovely pint.

Coulard Inn

We went in for Sunday roast today and it’s the best I’ve had in a long time! We both had beef and the portions are big. The beef was lovely we also had apple crumble for pudding which was also amazing! We will definitely be back again

Thai Cottage

Family take away while on holiday, everyone enjoyed the dish they had ordered. Food was lovely and hot ,portions of rice were big maybe share if you don't want too much rice. Phoned order in and foid was ready to pick up in 15minutes.

Mario's

While staying in Lossiemouth we thought we would try the local takeaway. The shop its self is the cleanest takeaway i have seen in years. The food was enjoyed by all, i was a little confused to see olives on a tandori pizza though, but to be fair it was a nice touch. the staff were friendly. so all in all highly recommeneded.

The Firth

The food was good, very generous portions. There was a long wait from ordering to eating, though. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

We booked the day before for a table of 8, child and a dog. The lady on the phone was very accommodating and allowed us to book outside which they dont usually allow. On arrival one waitress appeared a bit stressed there was a table of eight coming in which I was surprised about as its a big restaurant. The menu had a fantastic selection. The food came and was delicious, fish lasagne, lamb, special steak and steak surf and turf are all delicious. We had a lovely view outside and the dog was very comfortable. Fabulous food with great service. I would definitely return!!

We called here after staying on a local caravan site. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this takeaway. Reasonably priced

The Salt Cellar

A group of us went here for a meal, everything was just perfect. The views are like nothing uve seen, genuinely doesn't feel like your in Scotland... absolutely love lossiemouth!

New Sunrise

Absolutely amazing fresh tasty Chinese food. Only up to silver sands for the weekend and been twice it's that good. Been disappointed in the past with other competition in lossie where it smelt like wet dog. First class and will be back.

Was a regular visitor pre-Covid, however since moving away from Lossiemouth and the regular staff leaving, we had not visited in years. However, last month for old times sake, my wife and I stopped at the The Firth on 2 occasions, the quality of food and service was excellent.

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We both had the chicken, bacon and cheese wrap and the quality was excellent. Good, succulent pieces of chicken breast, thick bacon with a thick BBQ source. This was served on a bed of salad and crisps. The meal was very filling and felt I had got value for money. It’s fair to say that I waited a good while for this meal (20mins) but then again this is not McDonalds and good food does take time.

No complaints with the overall service, staff were respectful and well turned out. Unlike most restaurants they were not standing around doing nothing.

Environment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Clean, tidy with well spaced-out tables. Clearly the staff have taken pride with their roles and responsibilities.

Guidi's

Another fine meal at the Salt Cellar. Wide menu covers everyone and the dishes all come up looking and tasting great. Popular at main meal-times but plenty of staff and good service. The Fish Platter is a winner as is the Cullen Skink Risotto.
