Cressfield Country House Hotel
B7076 Townfoot, LockerbieA great start to our holiday in the Highlands with an overnight stay on the way up. Rooms are big plenty of space and very clean, everything you could need. Was a hot night so the fan we found in the wardrobe was ideal. Breakfast was good, staff very friendly. Lots of parking. We liked it so much we stayed there on out way home. This is now our go to place for an overnight stop when heading to the Highlands.

The Mill Forge
Kirkpatrick-Fleming, LockerbieI cannot say enough positive things about this place! we had our wedding here Monday and nothing was too much. ran like clockwork, staff were amazing, rooms super clean and venue stunning. even though there were other weddings on I felt like I was the only bride and they made our day super special and perfect for us! would highly recommend and we will be back to stay for a mini break in the future!

Village Hall, Kettleholm, LockerbieNice little place service was a little slow, but it was very busy. Nice cakes and coffee, and the other food being served to other tables looked great. Sadly, one of the other customers didn't like dogs and made comments about my dog approaching her table to have a drink from one of the bowls provided. My dog was on a lead and didn't touch this person in any way. Most of the others in the cafe had dogs, so maybe she wasn't in the right place! This was in no way the staffs fault.

Royal Bar
6 Station Rd, LockerbieWe stumbled up this lovely bar after a sight seeing visit nearby, asked if they served food and they had a small menu which was good enough. Friendly barman and we ordered a bacon cheese burger with chip and onion rings to go with our beers. small pool table and darts to play with, even the regular customers were friendly.

The Black Bull

The long vodkas are out of this world, the other customers are really friendly and the landlord heard me mention that I was staying in a hotel just out of town and rather than phone me a taxi, he give me a lift back. They were ordering a Chinese takeaway when I visited and they even offered to get me some!! These people in this establishment are lovely. Highly recommend this place

Parking: Small carpark on site otherwise free roadside parking in the village.

The Brig
35 Bridge St, LockerbieCalled here on our way to our holiday let. I've never walked in a pub and felt so welcomed in my life. The bar staff and locals were so happy and smiley. They give us water for our dogs (and a treat too). I truly could of sat there all day! Thanks for your hospitality.The Green's, plus Dennis and Dave (woof, woof) Retrievers.

The Starfish Restaurant And Coffee Shop
112-116 B723, LockerbieMy wife and I have started to use ‘The Starfish’ as our go to stop for a foodie refuel when travelling up and down the M74. There’s plenty of free parking in Lockerbie and the food portions are generous and, more importantly, the chips are consistently great and the accompaniments very good. Don’t bother with service stations et al, if you need a break and food pull into Lockerbie and try here - I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Kirkhill Bar and Brasserie
OYO Dryfesdale Hotel, Dryfebridge, Lockerbiewent on a coach trip to Skye, last overnight stop was the Dryfesdale hotel, the staff where helpfull, and pleasant . The room we stayed in was large and tastefully decorated, every thing you could need with lovely views of the grounds. The food was excellent could not be faulted. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Hope his bosses see this, he's a credit to BP, made me enjoy having to stop for fuel which is quite an achievement ?

63 High St, LockerbieThe food was amazing! My Chicken Madras was warmer than usual and the portion of rice was huge. The burgers and wraps were perfect. Looking forward to using them again.
Parking: Parking can be difficult as it is the main road and often busy and no parking spaces. You may have to drive around for a few minutes until a space becomes available.

9 Castle St, Lochmaben, LockerbiePopped in for a chippy tea tonight and was very pleased with my fish supper, hadn’t been in for a long time and wondered if it had changed based on some of the reviews….I guess most of the complaints are from folks getting deliveries that are late or cold food?Simple answer to that is go yourself!
