I ordered takeaway afternoon teas as a gift and was so impressed with the quality, range quantity and presentation of the food. It looked delicious and the recipients were thrilled. Incredible value for money. Would 100 per cent recommend!

Balmakewan Farm Shop & Tea Room

It is superb. Staff and food alike. Arrived just at 3 but we were still made very welcome. I recommend everything.
One hazard however is the driveway. Take your time, is all I can say.

The Arch Cafe & Bistro

My daughter & I stumbled across this delightful cafe after doing the Rocks of Solitude walk. We are visiting from Australia and after 3 weeks of traveling around Scotland we can confidently say this was the best coffee we’ve had since we’ve been here. Throw in friendly & prompt service, beautiful decor, delicious Mac n cheese and chats with locals and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Wish we lived closer-we’d be regulars!

What an absolute gem for the Mearns! I really felt we had upped and landed in France. Laid back first class hospitality where food and congeniality come front and centre. Everything was sourced with heart and integrity for quality and seasonality. Prepared perfectly, with respect and skill. Emmanuelle is an excellent host as well as chef, accompanied by a lovely polite and efficient team. We had a fantastic work night out, having the whole place to ourselves, it couldn't have worked better. Highly recommended!

Clatterin Brig Restaurant

First time I have been here. Lovely setting and friendly staff. My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint as such, was that I asked for a small portion and it was still very big. A lot of other customers would be delighted! Service was great, everyone helps.

Castleton Farm Shop

Went today for the kids Halloween afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. Great decorations and the kids platter was amazing, so creative and yummy too. Will definitely be back again ☺️

I opened the box and didn’t know what to expect but I was in for a real treat. The fish tasted extremely fresh and was of a high quality. The chips were excellent and not too greasy. Portion size was bang on. Generally some of the tastiest fish and chips I’ve EVER had! So good. Thank youKid-friendliness: Lovely
