Glenelg Inn

We visited for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The Inn is very traditional inside, with beams and a beautiful open fire - lovely and traditional.
We both had starters, I had soup and husband had goats cheese - really tasty. Mains, I had the Sunday roast, venison and husband had battered haddock, both were delicious. Good sized portions and lots of fresh veg which was nice too.
Warm welcome and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

A nice place with a good atmosphere. Most of the staff was friendly though one was a bit more rude with tourist like us. Service at the bar. We didn't try the food as there was no langoustine at that time and that's what we were aiming for thanks to other's picture. Great view on the bay.

The only thing I can find it to point out as bad is cost. But again it is a peak season time, and I think they do business mostly in summer time, so understandable. House keeper was very helpful with keys, suggestions. Location is apt, next spar for immediate supplies. Overall a very good experience for us.

Rooms: Better than lot of b&b we went.

Walkability: Near to Spar and a local Restaurant.

The place is very beautiful, from the road it looks spectacular at night, everything illuminated and it is like a lighthouse that invites you to stop.
The food is good.
The service is very attentive.
The price seemed high to me, you have to take that into account.

We dropped in for a pint after a lovely day on Skye, the welcome was great even just for a drink. We decided to eat there a few days after our visit and booked on line for our table and time slot which was just as well. From the time of arrival the place was busy at 5pm ! We ordered drinks and chose a Langoustine starter and haddock and chips. You have to have seafood when you are that close to the harbour. All the staff we spoke to were welcoming and made such a fuss of Minnie the border collie and even gave her treats too.
The food arrived in a timely fashion even though they were busy. The langoustines were gorgeous with an hint of garlic in the butter so not too overpowering letting the flavour shine through, and piping hot. The haddock to follow was longer than the plate and the batter was so light and delicate. The fish tasted fresh and the chips were crispy. We all enjoyed or meal and would recommend here. You need to book in advance or be disappointed and turned away. Well done guys
