Heaven Scent Coffee Shop
19 South St, Milnathort, KinrossQuirky wee coffee shop with a fantastic menu. I am dairy free and had the best afternoon tea there. Usually I'm restricted but as they make their own cakes, quiche, sausage rolls etc, I had like for like with my daughter.Staff are very friendly and James our waiter was very attentive and was so upbeat he left us smiling. Will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: I'm dairy free and my needs went beyond my expectations for an afternoon tea. We made a reservations and mentioned my requirements then.

The Grouse & Claret
Heatheryford, KinrossFantastic atmosphere. A lovely family run restaurant that we will definitely be going back to as we had such a delightful time. The appetisers, drinks, starters, main and the bread were delicious and presented with so much care. The venue was cosy and comfortable and you are made to feel very welcome.

Unorthodox Roasters
Unorthodox Roasters, 129 High St, KinrossThis cafe in Kinross is my go to stop for a nice coffee or hot chocolate for the drive home from Perthshire. We decided to stop in for lunch yesterday and tried the South-East Asian Hurricane and Caprese open sourdough toasts - the chicken on the hurricane toast was surprisingly some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Have tried their cakes on other stops which are amazing too.The only thing which wasn’t clear yesterday was that there is table service and seemingly you should go to the till to ask for a table rather than seat yourself.

The Kirklands Hotel
20 High St, KinrossLove this hotel, location is smashing, rooms a nice size, staff so lovely! Nice menu for dinner at night and a lovely breakfast all freshly cooked and served to your table in the morning! No having to make your own toast or waiting in queue for use of the coffee/tea machine! No congealed eggs or beans or overcooked sausages because they've been lying on a hot plate too long!!

The Muirs Inn
Shire, 49 Muirs, KinrossVisited for first time this evening. I got the lamb shank and my wife got the breaded fish and chips. Everything cooked to perfection but everything also lacked flavour and personally thought the lamb gravy should have been much richer. We both got desserts and although nice also lacked flavour. Shame as could be awesome with a few tweaks to the dishes.

Powmill Milk Bar
Rumbling Bridge, Powmill, KinrossFirst time visit today and it won’t be the last. Was totally blown away with the selection of food, which was delish and beautifully presented. I had the cheese and ham toastie. The selection of cakes etc was extensive and again really well presented. Lovely decor and was immaculate. What made it for me was the service. A very warm welcome, lots of smiles and clearly the whole team working hard as it was so busy. Well done and thank you ?

Milnathort Chinese Takeaway (Fish & Chips)
15 New Rd, Milnathort, KinrossTried for the first time last nice and what a revelation. Travelled from Dunfermline so it's a bit of a stretch but well worth it.So fresh tasting, huge pieces of chicken, big portions and even the free prawn crackers were crispy and not greasy unlike the usual 'courtesy' bag.Going to have to try the Korean BBQ chicken, and the Hot Malaysian Chow Mein.

Jock Bar
2 Muirs, KinrossIt's been a log time since I've been here. Food was very nice and well presented. Service was excellent. My only minor complaint was the bar was a bit cold on a wet wintery day. Other than that would definitely come back.

The Raj Mahal Indian Restaurant
132 High St, KinrossJust moved into nearby area and delighted to find this place. Food is amazing. Ceylon curry perfect, just the right heat. It’s so good and so well priced I’ve had 3 takeaways this month. I usually have one every 3 or so months. All 3 tasted exactly the same so consistency is there. Excellent!
