Strathisla Distillery
Seafield Ave, KeithDid the distillery tour and had a great experience. We decided on this amongst others as this is the oldest distillery in the area. Very nice and charming place with excellent staff and guides. Although the distillery was not operational and would have preferred to tour an operational distillery, the experience was good nevertheless. They have a nice store and we picked up some whiskies usually not available elsewhere. The whiskies are very nice.

14 Reidhaven Square, KeithAuf unserer Reise von Aberdeen nach Inverness machten wir Halt in Keith und statteten diesem Café um die Mittagszeit einen Besuch ab, um Kaffe und Tee zu trinken. Das Café wurde zunehmend voll und scheint sehr beliebt. Über das Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, aber die Speisekarte laß sich sehr gut. Schade, dass wir gut gefrühstückt hatten.

Boogie Woogie
2 Regent Square, Keith1st indication that this was the place to come to was the number of tables that were pre- booked with the time booked for on the sign.
Great freshly cooked food. Very large bowl of soup with thick chunks of bread, pasta dish of the day would easily satisfy a large appetite & the pear & caramel crumble was delicious - very generous with the pear. I had it with a very good quality ice cream.
Daily specials were great tasting.
The service was very friendly & good too. A good mix of locals & visitors. You could see that there were plenty of regulars in as the owners knew them - always a good sign.
I'd be happy if my elderly relatives lived locally & ate there every day as I know they would be really well fed!
The toilets are on the ground floor. The womens toilet was large enough to enable people with limited mobility to take their frames in but not a wheelchair. Entrance is OK for those with walking frames, but it would be awkward if a potential customer was a wheelchair user. The cafe is in an old building & not large so what they've done with the limited space was probably the best that could be achieved in that setting.
This will be our regular stop off point when travelling in that area.
5 star plus!
Parking: The cafe is situated in the village square & there is ample parking available. We easily got our campervan parked outside.

Mayflower Chinese
7 The Square, Newmill, KeithMust be short-handed tonight. Told to pick up my order at 7, knew something was up as the place was standing room only. Got told my order would be a few minutes. Fair enough and I had paid my money by then anyway. 42 minutes later, I was given my order without any explanation or apology. Had to reheat it once I got home, as well. Not had this bad service before. I understand they must be busy, as there was a waiting time of an hour and a half for phone orders by the time I arrived, but a bit of customer service wouldn’t have hurt, rather than leaving me sitting there with no clue what was going on for over half an hour after the time I was asked to pick up the order. I won’t be ordering again for a long while.

Plough Inn
95 Mid St, KeithOur local and a brilliant family run friendly bar. The bar itself is roomy, well decorated, has a pool table, juke box and dart board. They stock a very good selection of non alcoholic drinks as well as alcoholic ones. You can then go through to a recently redecorated lounge with its own bar, perfect for small functions, funeral teas etc. This opens on to a sizeable beer garden which is lovely in the warmer weather.

Ugie Hotel
Church Rd, KeithUp in Keith from Edinburgh for the day and had a couple of hours to kill between getting off the Keith/Dufftown heritage railway and my train from Keith train station so I went in here. Friendly welcome and good banter with a few of the locals. Coming from Edinburgh the prices here were great as well. Owner of the business went above and beyond to help me when I was going for my train, I won't say what in case it starts a trend he might not want. All in all helped round of a good day out. If you have a couple of hours to kill in Keith you could do a lot worse than spend it in Bert's, the public bar at this hotel.

Square Roots Cafe
Mid St, KeithWe had a lovely visit to this quaint little cafe while visiting the charming little village of Keith. We especially enjoyed the coffees and sticky toffee pudding. The service and hospitality were outstanding, and I would highly recommend this cafe to you.

New Wah Ling Takeaway
136 Mid St, KeithThe best Chinese food we’ve ever had as someone who is Chinese. The quality of the food is unbelievably delicious especially in a small town like keith. Really impressed with the hygiene inside of the shop. I would definitely come again and do recommend it to anyone who’s craving Chinese food.

85 Mid St, KeithSecond time coming here while in town for work and although the cafe is quiet on an evening, they're so friendly and give great service. Really good batter on the fish and even though scraps aren't always a thing in Scotland, they do them better here than a lot of places down south!

94 Mid St, KeithFirst visit to Bengal Spice for many years. On hearing it had changed hands and had some refurbishment it was time to visit again. Great experience from start to finish, warm welcome, friendly service. BYO at the moment as licence is pending, however this is not an issue, glasses offered to the table for our beverages. Excellent food, the menu offers the usual suspects and some house specials, plenty choice indeed. Lovely chat with Abdul following our meal, Thursday night is Buffet Night, it comes highly recommended. Look forward to visiting again soon.
