Musicker
11 High St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeThis is a lovely little cafe that I've visited a couple of times now. The food is delicious and the ladies are so lovely and attentive. I would highly recommend going here for a cake or lunch (I had the pesto, mozzarella and pepper toastie and it was incredible). I will definitely be visiting again!

Isle of Bute Coffee @Bonnie Bling
10 Castle St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeWe were staying on Bute a few weeks ago for a family wedding & anywhere we stay, I always try to find “the” local coffee place. These guys are doing third wave style coffee up there with the best of them, they really care about their product and service & it really shows.
There’s a great curation of items from Bonnie Bling and my daughter was super happy to find something Sanrio too!
In some places you can have a great product and be let down by service, but certainly not here - it was up there with the quality of the rest of the place. We ended up visiting twice over our three day stay which says it all.
As some of our family are going to be moving back to Bute soon, we’ll no doubt make it a regular stop anytime we’re up visiting :)

Kingarth Hotel
Kingarth, Isle of ButeNice place and the restaurant down stairs was lovely, would highly recommend eating there if you visit Bute, breakfast was good, only reason for 4 stars is they rooms were a bit run down especially compared to the cost of rooms

The Diner
5-9 Montague St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeOne of those places that you feel there's nothing specifically wrong with it but at the same time it lacks something that would make it special and make you want to give it 5 stars. The decor is nice, the food is nice, the service was fine, but somehow it wasn't special, just nice.

Grapes Bar
70 Montague St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeThey dnt do food, but the nuts were perfect .service excellent , all the female staff to die for. The guys will be better with training. It's not their fault. They're just guys . Fantastic atmosphere with very cheap sounds,I tend to put proclaimers on which some folk get. The locals make you feel like a local, cracking place,,will be back every month, or every day if marry a local, Anne and Neil, who only own place, are first class. Also dog friendly, .

We recd a lovely welcome from owner Mica.We had Cauliflower pakora starter followed by Lamb bhuna and chicken Masaledar. The meat and sauces were beautifully cooked, flavourful and tasty. The Paratha bread was also great with the piquant thick sauces. Prices were affordable. Three In One
10 Argyle St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeGot some lunch here before starting off a lil exploring of the island. Got the munchy box and a smoked sausage pizza. The service was not really the best, waited for about 5 min before we were attended to even though there was someone at the counter and we were the only people there. The food was absolutely delicious and wished we got more pizza. Good value for money and will likely be back again when in the area again.

Zavaronis Cafeteria
20 Argyle St, Rothesay, Isle of ButeThe absolute best ice cream! Of course, everyone is a fan of ice cream, but this surpasses all! Absolutely a must try if you ever visit the Isle of Bute - extremely reasonable pricing and the *best* quality & taste. I personally recommend trying their standard vanilla flavour + the raspberry (?) sauce on top as this is genuinely my favourite ice cream in the world, but of course all their flavours are great regardless. I believe they make the ice cream themselves via a milk-based recipe, its very light and refreshing, perfect for any occasion. The staff are friendly, the chippy-chips they serve are decent, though I can’t comment too much on anything else they serve since I haven’t tried much else myself! Their cafe is normally busy when we visit so I’d say that’s a good sign, their ice cream’s standard has been very consistent as well during our countless visits. I’d never hop on the ferry to leave Bute without having a Zavaroni’s ice cream!
